It's a very fun game that looks very nice and the lasso feels very good to use, but what I loved the most is the additional mechanic of launching a bouncing projectile after capturing enemies, it adds so much to the gameplay and makes you think more about how you use your lasso, I love it!

Best use of the cowboy idea in the jam!

Really cool use of the cowboy idea, and the gameplay is quite fun! Reminded me of one of those old pokemon ranger games where you have to frantically circle to capture pokemon. One thing I thought of was that since the lasso has no real limit to length, you don't really need to move the character and the jumping and looping from floor to ceiling is a bit disorienting - maybe the game would be better as a top-down.

Ooo I like the idea of moving your mouse around to make the lasso bigger! Very fun game!

You ever see a game idea so good you wish you'd thought of it? Yeah. What a delightfully clever concept with charming visuals and crunchy game-feel enhancing audio! Reminds me of the Pokemon Ranger games on the DS. Fantastic work! -GH

Thanks! I actually did recall the Pokemon Ranger games myself while we were designing the lasso functionality. (Although admittedly I haven't actually played them before, I just know about them.) I think I remember some of my other teammates recalled one of the minigames from a Mario Party game where you have to circle goombas.

I wish I thought of it too... But that credit goes to other team members. But I'm glad I was able to take part in making it a reality.

A fun, simple game with great art. I really appreciated the right click/shift click setting. Circling the mouse is a fun concept, but ends up tiring out your arm.

Developer

Thanks! And yeah, I felt similar with my arm after hours of doing development/playtesting with the others (but didn't want to remove the feature because it contributed to the "loop" theme), so I figured that the accessibility setting would probably help.

Damn that lasso mechanic is satifying! Simple but super addicting game, great job!

Developer

Super addicting? I hope you haven't been playing it the whole time since you sent this comment. You need to eat and drink too.
All joking aside, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

A really nice spin on the lasso theme, it took me a few seconds to realize what was making my loop grow but after that, I had a blast :)

Developer

(Yeah, the controls probably should've been made a bit clearer.) I'm glad you had fun with the game!

soooo satisfying

I'm glad you liked it!

It took me a while to figure out that I needed to twist the lasso. But when I did, it became really fun! The difficulty balance is optimal, that's what I need. This game is a little addictive.

I'm glad you liked what we made! I did a lot of the enemy spawning progression code near the end, and didn't have a ton of time to test it, so I'm glad that it worked out well in practice.

Hope you didn't sink too many hours into it
