I thought this would be 'just another screen looping game' but the addition of being able to move the camera yourself is mind-bogglingly good. It did seem to happen too early (not on the edge of the actual screen), and sometimes I would get stuck in a wall or seem to fall through the floor. Maybe a resolution bug or something.
Well, I just figured out how to clip into walls very easily by moving the camera off screen when the guy is next to the wall causing the wrap around to move them off the map and when they are low you move in the other direction causing them to teleport into the wall. As for the game; it's a really cool idea, but this isn't something you should attempt as a first game, I'd say to save stuff like this for when you're more experienced as they come out as something that has a good idea and good game (not saying the game is bad, I'm saying the game shows a lot of the main stuff beginners don't understand)
When I used the screen to fall off my character was screaming, "YEEAHHHHAaRRGGGHHGH!"... at least he was in my head.
Neat concept, but too buggy to play for me. :( Player disappeared at times that didn't make sense, but were "looping" places in previous camera views.
Really fun game! Unique mechanic and some great art too!
Thanks for playing and taking the time to leave a comment. I'm glad you liked the art because I wasn't too sure about it :)
Very good game ! Love the mechanic ! There are several ways to complete each level which makes the game really interesting ! Congrats !!!
I'm glad you liked it! I wanted to keep the solutions slightly open-ended to let the player experiment and get creative with the mechanic. Thanks for playing and leaving a comment :)
Really fun mechanic!
I was a bit confused in the beginning how it worked but once I understood how the viewport of the game "loops" the game started to be really cool. Curretnly it is a bit buggy for me, especcially on the Y axis but it's still a nice game for the small amount of time given. Would love to see this concept worked out further and polished!
Thank you! I'm only like two weeks into game development so going into this I knew that some bugs would kind of be inevitable. But anyway, I'm super glad you liked the looping mechanic as I genuinely couldn't tell whether it was actually fun or not. And also thanks for taking the time to leave a comment :)
