The game turned out really beautiful. I enjoyed it a lot. The art style and sounds add a wonderful atmosphere to the game. The jam theme is nicely integrated. Congratulations! Don’t forget to check out my game too!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much EZ, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! 😄

I'll check yours out now

Cute little game, it reminds me a lot of a google widget game where you played as a wizard cat that had to draw spells. This game also taught me I can't draw circles clockwise as well as I can counter-clockwise

Developer

Thanks Stephen! I think I saw a similar game submitted to the jam actually where you're a wizard cat drawing spells! Seems like it' a popular theme haha!

It's interesting to see people discover their preference of clockwise/counter clockwise!

Really fun game. I thought my wrist would break XD!

Developer

Thank you Kisame!!! Yeah I think the aim of the game is to keep going until your wrist breaks 🤣

Super fun and polished! Gets a bit of the same fast though. Would be awesome to see more spell types or patterns.  Love the art, music, and the whole loop-drawing vibe though!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I agree it does get the same fast, I'm glad you had fun though thanks for playing! 😁

Submitted(+1)

Quite enjoyable for how simple the game is. The music and sfx does add a great feel while playing. I think it would be more interesting if instead of just having a random green, blue or red circle, you have to learn different loop patterns which result in different spell that are more or less effective against specific enemies, so the player has to memorize, pay attention and make quick decisions.

Developer

That's some really good feedback thanks Spheniac! 🙏🏼

Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

It looks like I'm pretty good at drawing circles counter clockwise but not the other way around :D Would be cool if You had to change directions during fight.

Submitted(+1)

The presentation is really great though I wish you can do more in this game other than just drawing circles lol.

Developer

Thanks HoverStar! Yeah I think I tunnel-visioned too hard on polishing the one mechanic before experimenting more - Definitely something I need to balance in future jams haha! Thanks for playing! 🤘🏼

There are so many games in this jam that revolve around drawing circles and I love it, hahaha, this is a really great submission! The music is nice, the sounds are crisp and the art direction fits together nicely. The concept of casting different spells based on different rotations is refreshingly new and fits perfectly into the theme.

Developer(+1)

Hey thanks for playing RoamingOwl! Yeah I think the cool thing about big game jams like this is seeing people come up with similar ideas and how they are implemented differently from one another! Glad you enjoyed! :D

Submitted(+1)

Great work with this! I really like the concept and the presentation adds a lot to it. I'd like to see it developed further by giving the player a choice of which spell to use or some other strategic decisions to make. I had fun with it, but it gets exhausting quickly when the only move is to draw as many circles as quickly as possible.

Developer

Thanks tnub! I agree it does get exhausting fast. I wish I could have implemented more spell types but hadn't the time!

Submitted(+1)

This was super fun to play with a drawing tablet! I've never drawn circles this furiously before 😂
Love the concept and the artwork!

Developer

Thank you so much, Venske! It's really interesting that people are playing it with a drawing tablet, I never expected that haha!

I think it's time we bring a market to playing PC/Console games with a drawing pad peripheral 😂

Submitted(+1)

Fun game, the concept is quite simple, but the visuals and sounds do a great job making the experience really enjoyable. I do hope the game could have some more variations as it progresses, perhaps new spells or some special encounters?

Still, great work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing Zenk I'm glad you found it fun! Definitely would like to add some more variation to the progression! New loop types, spells, multiple spells at once, and special encounters were definitely on my list of TODO!

Submitted(+1)

Nice artwork! I don't think my wrists could handle one hour of gaming... Good job!

Developer

I agree, no need for the gym if you do an hour of this a day! 😂💪🏽

Very smooth controls, and a great RSI simulator game 🤣 Pretty satisfying to spam the loops and get a huge critical overkill!

Developer(+1)

Thank you Sky! The critical system definitely needs more work and spamming the loops is a "feature" I should have thought about more when developing the game 🤣

Submitted(+1)

Really cool! It reminds me of a Pokemon game for the ds I used to play. Well done

Developer

Thanks for playing Tavor! This game was actually inspired by the Pokemon Ranger games!

Submitted(+1)

Oh damn, it reminded me of some game that you had to draw different symbols for different shapes. This could totally go in that direction to add more complexity over time.
Really enjoyable game.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks redistor! I actually tried implementing this, for the "infinity spell" I tried to add having to draw an infinity symbol but it came with many issues! 😅

Submitted(+1)

Really fun and creative mechanic! The controls felt smooth, and the visual style fit perfectly with the gameplay. I could definitely see this working great with more challenging stages or boss fights in the future.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much krokozavrgame! 🤟🏻

Submitted(+1)

this is so sick I had a great time! really love the mechanic its simple yet creative and works really well. its a nice polished game, audio feedback is great - just all round good stuff! only note is that it could be more difficult

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much Hol! ❤️

I'm gonna play and review yours when I get back to my PC!!

Submitted(+1)

Straight from the start - glad to see music and sfx management! The idea of magic with drawing reminds me of old Harry Potter games, and that's a very nice mechanic! I love visual style and endless fights. Simple, so you don't need any tutorials, but if you are going to add more mechanics,  you might need to have some sort of onboarding :)

Developer

Thanks so much for the kind words kadenikk! 🤜🏼🤛🏼

A very promising gameplay. It would be even better if there were more play options.

Developer

Thanks, Aonizen!! I wanted to add more depth to the boss fights by adding multiple loops that appear one after another but unfortunately I didn't have enough time!!

Submitted(+1)

Actually got my drawing tablet out for this one. Very cool. Also if you keep your mouse clicked, the loop counter carries over if the next pattern is a blue one. Was able to get thousands of damage like this with the multiplayer. Probably not intended but very cool haha

Developer

Wow I didn't think of a drawing tablet, that's so cool! :O

Hahaha that one definitely slipped past me!  Glad to see somebody abusing my game though 😂
