Very interesting core mechanics!
Took me a while to get the hang of controlling both characters, but love how their movement is linked.
Really clever use of pickup placements forcing you to learn various movements with the orbit.
Nice job, I liked the variety of patterns to navigate!
Thanks for playing!
This game is addictive! I must have hit that try again button a dozen times. You've truly got something here. The artwork is a little bright but maybe that's the point. I loved it in general. It's a shame so few people have rated this game. Nice work!
Also I'd appreciate feedback on my submission if you get a chance!
That makes me so happy to hear you enjoyed the game! Will definitely be improving the art. I wish we had more ratings too but there are so many entrants it's crazy!
I'll have a look at your game when I get the chance :3
Really clever and interesting game. It's so amazing simple for how satisfying it is, I'm surprised nobody's done it before. I had difficult at first because the spinning mechanic doesn't seem advertised anywhere (edit: it is in the info panel, I missed this, oops), I read your explanation for loop on your submission page and worked out I could spin. Before that, the game seemed so punishing and impossible to get enough score to not die, but once I worked it out it was a really fun experience, and top marks for creativity for sure. Good work!
Thanks so much again! And thanks for the screenshot! Btw, I got 28480. You kinda have to get lucky with the bonus room. Lol. 50,000 is now possible in our current build but we're continuing Dev so things are in flux.
Edit: you never know, maybe it has been done. Some crazy hidden gem from the past. And I recognize elements from older games. I love game history.
idk why some say the controls are hard, its pretty ez for me :)) the game is pretty hard tho (time runs out a bit too fast), sometimes it randomly slows me down for some reasons. also is there a difference between the white and the red timer?
pretty good game tho, the interpretation of the theme is solid, and (very) underrated.
I personally like my controls but I get how people might feel about it. Edit: I'm thinking we'll just have 2 control schemes 🤷🏽♂️. They'll feel different but behave the same way.
We're still thinking the design through and tuning the timing.
The slow down is due to a mistake in that the wind's trigger area is too big. What you're experiencing is running into said trigger area, likely from the next spawned room! Sorry about that. >_<
The Red timer is you approaching death. The timer has 3 or 4 loops? I forget. We might add the ol' "hearts = life" visual to it. Each subsequent loop of the timer gets faster. The intent was to induce a kind of panic.
Thank you for your feedback, and thank you so much for playing our game!
Awesome game!, it took a while to get used to-- a bit of confusion but after a while you can work with it and enjoy! Good concept!
I might change the control scheme in future. A tutorial might be added in as well.
Thanks for playing. :3
The game took a little bit to get used to, but the overall concept is unique and enjoyable! Having to move while rotating another character took a bit of coordination; perhaps a tutorial level would have been good to start out with to get used to controls. There's some bugs involving the how-to-play screen when I press ESC to go back to the main menu. Other than that, nice job!
I really appreciate you checking out my game. In a future version I'm thinking of changing the control scheme so the orbitting is "8-way" but Lune's position would interpolate. Thanks so much for the feedback. 🙏🏽
