One of the artists here! I'm reading all the comments about the sprite stacking and I'm glad most of you liked it! That was my first ever time doing it too, this was another great fun learning experience!

I don't really see the theme here, BUT the spritestacking is super cool and tbh the game pulled me into it. Thanks-no-thanks for making me go to bed later lol good submission :)
Spritestack art was super neat and I loved that you were able to pan and rotate the map around (the tile that's highlighted being spritestacked was also super neat), genuinely felt like a 3d game. The one thing that broke this immersion for me was the goblins. They were super low quality compared to the rest of the art in the game and I think going back and improving on them (whether better sprite quality or spritestacking them as well) would be great.
The gameplay is pretty basic, but fun for a while like all tower defense games. Different tower upgrades besides just stat increases would be cool, but I understand keeping the scope low for a jam. For a jam game, the gameplay is super well polished and thorough!
As for theme, it's generic, but it works 👍
Great game!
Well if you set out to make a spritestacked TD game, you definitely succeeded at that! The spritestacked art is cool, and the camera rotation and panning is nice to be able to position your towers and the UI just how you want them on screen. I think the weakest part is probably just the repetitive nature of the gameplay itself; there just doesn't appear to be much variation in what happens for each wave (unless I'm missing something major, which is possible). However I do really like this game still, and it kind of feels like getting the technical side of things working was your main priority, so I hope you can get more time after the jam to expand on this.
I had fun remembering monkey balloon game while checking out look graphics. I think the farms becoming lesser the more towers you place and the more towers you place the longer the games gone on is coo, I think it makes the player want to upgrade more and focus on a nice set up. There were enough buildings for me to be happy with but it would be cool to see more buildings that get placed away from the road like the mines, I think the maps with less area are cool for this before you would have less room for some types of buildings and that could add more player choice the same could go for the towers that get place closer to roads. Also does the harder modes give you more score or how have you handled that? as it seems the leader board is pretty important here, so I think balancing score is important to. I had a fun time but making it in "3" "D" did make the whole thing a little annoying to use at times. But I do count math as art
