So many insects!
I can't believe the day I call a spider cute has come. The game is well made and has smooth controls! I like that the menu page is also the tutorial! A couple things I wished for is to be able to rotate while swinging, so I could change the direction of the swing, and also some way to adjust the radius of the swings to have more control over avoiding the ladybugs.
really cute style, and i like the effect you get after a speed boost. it does feel a little clunky to play, it felt a little jittery (especially when you're moving quickly) and i'm not a huge fan of how the spider controls (after you loop around a bug, it seems to turn you 180 degrees, which means that if you're boosting you'll immediately slow down), but there's a lot of charm and potential here! oh, and i loved the dynamic music!
Yeah, we have been getting a bunch of comments this game jam about that speed jitter, and we definitely will look into a fix for that. Also, yeah you're right, we did keep the lil dude spinning because we thought it was cute. It was originally a bug, (haha get it), but we decided to keep it. Definitely keep that in mind to help keep the momentum going. And yeah, our sound girl did awesome work for this game. We appreciate your feedback! Thanks for playing!!
Certainly one of the more creative ideas I've seen, great job! Loved launching off a bug towards the next one. The presentation is also super charming. Managed to get to round 7 with 5320 score.
Wow! That's amazing you must've gotten a hang of the game really quick. Just a question for you, do you feel like the jetpack trivialized the webswinging to some extent?
I ended up mostly just swinging on the target bugs and trying to fling off sort of towards the next one. Beyond that I mainly used the jetpack to steer. Jet boosting when looping around a bug with the web made that part easy sure, but the game was challenging in other areas so it still felt engaging. Since the web swing could give so much speed it was definitely useful.
Why was shift chosen over space bar? Well thanks to the game, I just disabled my Windows sticky keys settings (was a new laptop that haven't disabled it yet).
It feels quite good when I'm fast and swinging. However, if player is stuck at the bottom... well they're stuck. Also I wished the top bit wasn't the limit as well, feels a bit bad when I reach the top and I swing just to hit the invisible ceiling.
Good question, I supposed we liked using our pinkies more when we play-tested the game. But yes, we did get feedback on how sometimes the border kind of ruins the fun of the game and were suggested to make it bounce the spidey back or something. We'll definitely have this in mind if we polish the game more in the future! Thank you for playing!
Love the motif of the game and how creative this is, great job!
Thank you for playing! :D
oh my god this is one of the best concerts
Haha, we hope to perform at Coachella one day. Thank you!
Very original movement. I liked it a lot. Pretty chaotic at times, but in a fun way. Felt a bit like Spiderman with a jet pack.
Thanks for playing!! Glad you had fun with our game :D
Very cute game, love the art and gameplay! Good Job.
Thanks for playing!! Glad you liked it :D

I liked the idea behind this game, hooking and looping around a fly felt satisfying but looping around the green flies felt a bit clunky to mee but still. As someone said the arrows could get someone (not me xd) confused about direction of movement, the way I would fix that is by adding these arrows to the border of the screen, where they point towards the next green bug!
Thanks for playing our game!! I get how looping around can get clunky at certain moments, we'll take your feedback into account when we go back to refine our game!! Also great suggestion with the arrows -- funny thing is, we already had a way to easily move the arrows further away from the player, but all collectively forgot about changing it once it was implemented 💀 This is definitely something we'll get around to fixing!
Really cool game! I really like the interactive menu to get familiar with the controls, nice touch. The art is very cute and the music fits in well. I found it quite challenging at first, but once you get more used to it, it's very satisfying to swing your way through the level. Good work!
Thank you!! I'm glad you noticed that the menu was interactable/had some time to play around with it :D Thanks so much for downloading to give the music a listen as well!!!
Loved the aesthetics and gameplay. So cute it was. Loved swinging around and got around score of 1k. Loved it. Great work. Would appreciate the effort if you could rate my game too.
Thank you for playing!!! 1k is great!! It's so interesting to hear about what score other people ended up with :D
Cool game!! The web mechanic was actually pretty fun after getting used to it! I ended up with a score of 1970 :) Also that sucks that the sounds weren't working in the web build T-T that happened for our game too!! But I played the windows build and I liked how there were added instruments based on how many bugs I've gotten, and also different music when you're in the pause screen that blends seamlessly together. Great job!
Thanks for playing!!! That is the highest score we've seen in the review section up until now!! Great job!
Also wow, can’t believe we weren’t the only ones struggling with the audio + WebGL issues 😭 Good to know someone else can relate to the pain LOL. Seriously though, thank you so much for taking the time to download the Windows version!!
I think you could've done a little bit more to improve the gameplay loop (no pun intended) by increasingly increasing the difficulty or adding new enemies as you progressed, because at the moment I feel the game is too easy. Also the thrusting mechanic makes the web slinging absolutely obsolete, I barely used it apart from when I had to eat the green bugs
Oooh, thank you for the feedback! We’re super grateful for all the playtesting we’re getting. It’s really helping us figure out what to refine, and level difficulty is definitely on our list. Adding different enemies as the game progresses could be really interesting!!
We originally wanted players to feel more inclined to use the web slinging to build up momentum/speed, but we’ve also heard from others that they leaned toward using the thrust more since it felt more consistent. Do you think you'd be more incentivized to swing on the yellow bugs for momentum/speed boosts if it meant it also gave you more points or contributed to a higher score?
Thanks again for playing!
I guessed that was your original intention lol .I think it would work much better if you limited the amount of thrust the player has and each time they used it it would go down then they could instead replenish it by collecting something around the map, or perhaps even by eating green bugs?
Ohhh those are some great ideas, they’d definitely add more dimensionality to our game! I’m saving this comment to look back on when we refine things. Thanks so much for the reply :D
