I like the concept, but I think it could have been presented differently. I thought it was a generic memory game until I saw that pressing H let you listen to the sounds. The problem is that when the notes are shown initially, it also highlights the block which makes the sound obsolete. Instead if the highlighting is removed and you just let the player figure out based on sound, it would have been way more interesting IMO. I tried this by looking away when the sounds played and I think it works. Perhaps a smaller grid would be needed in that case.
Multiple modes were nice for a jam game, so kudos for that! I think it would also be better if the art were a bit more cohesive though; the somewhat shabby style still kind of works, but the colors clash way too much.
Thank you very much for your detailed feedback. Yep, I could agree about the music stuff, I will keep that in mind for a post-jam update but probably I would have to make the notes a bit more different from each other.
I know, the art style can be improved a lot, but as always I had a very limited time this year :)
I love your audio design, so fresh to see a memory game. Loved it, so good. Very interesting experience it was. would appreciate an effort if you could look into my game too.
Thank you very much for playing :) Yes of course, I will check your game too, soon
Very unique and interesting UI design! Glad I saw your comment on YouTube, nice game 👏
i guess this is the first memory game i saw in jam. Nice
Wow cool, I hope you enjoyed my interpretation of the tbeme :)
Great game: fun and intriguing! A game that stimulates fun and memory (visual and auditory). Within the game there are 3 modes, my favorite is “reverse”, very similar to the standard but slightly more complicated. The game features good graphics and small, very useful aids or tips when playing. Overall it's a lot of fun and invites you to play multiple times to improve your score.
I am genuinely awful at memory games but even then I still really enjoyed this! Loved the different modes
Glad you enjoyed playing it :)
fun game
A really fun game similar to Simon says! I loved the artwork! Great work!
A cool rework a classic memory game
Good job at creating a harder and twistier "Simon Says." Good use of the concept, I enjoyed it :D
