Very funny intro, that really added to the narrative. A seriously good and original game concept. Well executed. Like others, I'd like a way to skip or speed up the intro when starting a new session. I also think limiting the keys to just letters and ignoring case would give it more of a game feel. I think this is a great game. I'd love to see this do well in a jam like GMTK, because it think this is the type of game design that GMTK targets  - that is a game is creatively linked to a theme and to delivery a truly original and very enjoyable game. Well done!

Loved playing this game. I really enjoyed the music and SFX in particular. The speedup of the bg music when you were typing fast felt great, and the typewriter press SFX with the slight variations made typing extremely satisfying. The idea and game loop with the upgrades was also very well implemented, and gave me the "just one more try" mentality. My only complaint (and the most minor thing ever) is that it felt a little unintuitive getting back to the typewriter the first time being introduced to the upgrade screen, and the slow shift when I put my mouse down to type was a little offputting at first. Thanks for the excellent game!

i'm just scrolling through submissions and happened across this one, was intrigued very quickly. i share a similar sentiment where i wanted the beginning part to go by faster though I understand it was setting the context. I had my capslock on and was so confused for a bit on why that was inverted but overall the concept was so, so interesting. I don't think I have seen something like this yet. It does take some time to overcome and surpass but it is really rewarding, I believe that it fit the theme very well! well done :))

Funny idea. Probably won't be for everyone though

Got me hooked so fast. I love the concept!! i had such a skill issue though I failed ALOT of the parts where i had to use a symbol key because i didn't know where to find it in my keyboard lmaoo

Really enjoyable once you're in it, a lot of text to get through. Some of the symbols don't match my own keyboard so had to go off location alone, maybe limit it to just letters and minimal punctuation? Also found myself leaning into the screen a bit, the typewriter could be larger on screen. Really enjoy the monkey hand taking over with the mouse to make selections.

This is such an interesting idea!! Very hard for me though haha. The humor is great too. Well done!

I really felt like a monkey trying to type something. When I have more time, I'll try this again. I need to finish now.

Great idea but sooo hard!

Also, would like to get started a bit quicker... nicely executed though.

Honestly? At first it felt like torture and I was a bit angry, contemplating whether I could even see this as a game and how someone could have any fun with this.

But OH BOY was I WRONG! :D Once you unlock the upgrades and are able to lock keys in place, I was immediately hooked haha! Being able to type fluently and thus farm currency even better felt so addictive! I didn't manage to play through it all yesterday, because I was too tired, but I will give it another shot today :)

Only complaint is the text animation combined with the animal crossing like sfx was a bit draining after a short time, I would've loved to be able to read through this faster and get to play the game without having to wait for all the text :)

GREAT job on this entry!

Edit: Finished the game this morning, and yup, I can only emphasize what I said above. Also one more thing: Playing this on a German keyboard makes it so much more difficult lol

what a fantastic design. I easily got the idea of the game and found it so much fun. Truly amazing dude. Keep going.

A fully agonizing experience that left me anxious about typing after. Loved it. 11/10

What a great inspired game! Loved the small touch of the UI being integrated in the game by just moving the arms on the screen. Although super hard, it was fun :)

What a sadistic little game! It felt like I was learning to type again. I particularly liked the upgrade system where you could freeze common keys in place among other things. A point of improvement would probably make it so that you can slowly replenish your mistakes if you keep getting it right for an extended period.
