Would love to see the difficulty start slow and easy, then ramp up if you decide to hit it with some post jam updates!

The art style is amazing, I found the gameplay a bit confusing and too difficult for its own good, but other than that, very neat game!

Damn you, running chickens!

Love the art. Pity there is no background music, I think it would be a nice addition. But still, I had a lot of fun trying to catch them all!

Really nice game! I really like the old school Gameboy feels and the retro sound effects. Chickens were really fast and pulling them is quite the fight, but overall I enjoyed it!

Pixel art for this game is great, gives Gameboy vibes. Gameplay was nice, enjoyed the chicken catching mechanic of having to move in their opposite direction to pull them in. Just wish there was more variety with it though, like maybe some chickens get angry and try attacking you while you're trying to pull them in or something in the environment like a thorn bush or something you need to avoid while catching chickens. Would love to see more of this!

I really like the artwork for this game! Reminds me of my old gameboy. I feel like the sound loops where a bit much. Maybe the real in mechanic was buggy for me but I couldn't catch a chicken to save my life, and it gave Luigi mansion  vibes (the original). They where also way to fast. But again I love the visual design
Also If you don't mind, would you rate my game as well?

Developer(+1)

Yeah, if I had the time I would have loved to tune the gameplay a bit better and rework the audio. Also, the original Luigi's Mansion was one of the main inspirations for the game! Thanks for playing and leaving your feedback!

I'll also be sure to give your game a try!

Super sweet art style! Like the other commenters, I also didn't quite understand what to do- pressing/holding space after I 'built up strength' seemed to let the chicken go half the time. I did manage to catch one though! And the old-school Pokemon look is a good combo with the premise. Thanks for the game :)

Developer

Yeah, in retrospect I definitely should have spent more time on the tutorial. The mechanics could've been explained much better. Thanks for playing and leaving your feedback!

I only caught 1 chicken but I like the art style.

this was so much fun! I didn't think needed to catch chickens. I definitely love the base mechanic and art style is lovely too. I had a difficult time fully understanding what to do after i hit a chicken with my lasso and they kept getting loose. maybe a bit more guidance on that part to make it clear that player needs to move in the opposite direction. Other than that I enjoyed it a lot!

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! I had hoped to expand on the tutorial a bit, but unfortunately never got around to it. Thanks for playing and leaving your feedback!

This game felt like being asleep early in the morning and you feel like you can't move. The two main mechanics of lassoing the chicken and wrangling them in felt really undercooked. I enjoyed the NES styled graphics but having them projected in a 3D world felt so uncanny, like a dream. There'a also an exploit where if you hug a wall between the lassoed chicken and you you can just hold your position and easily catch the chicken while the chicken shoots into the horizon. I will say, the opening menu with the rotating chicken was my favorite thing in this game, it was so epic.

The concept of this game is awesome, who wouldnt want to wrestle with chickens? I think that the game had a perfect balance of difficulty, and the art looked great. The menu was weirdly hilarious, so overall, well done!

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Interesting art style - I don't see this kind of 2.5D perspective too often! The gameplay was alright, though there didn't seem to be any real kind of fail state, and the few obstacles in the later rooms didn't do much to make it more difficult. I like the basic lasso mechanic, but I think this could stand to be expanded on a bit more.

Developer

Yeah, I've never made a 2.5D game, before, so I thought it would be fun to try out. I had hoped to add in more mechanics into the game, such as wolves that would attack you, but I unfortunately ran out of time. Thanks for playing and leaving feedback!
