Nice art and audio, works well. I think maybe UI could need a little polish, it's not always obvious what you have to do, and some of the texts aren't easy or enjoyable to read. But for a jam entry with only a few days, it's definitely good, well done!

Great feedback! thank you!

Art is 10/10 for me but the actual mechanics of spell casting wasn't excecuted very good in my opinion. Still kudos on the vibes and atmosphere!

Developer

Appreciate the feedback, what would you change about the spell casting itself? I know it didnt have enough feedback and clarity so curious what I could do to polish it up.

Other people mentioned clarity and feedback so I didn't want to repeat that even though it's more important than my take but I just feel like it could have more emergent complexity, even the same 2 stones could maybe be combined and just more variety would enforce player to explore it without being told in text form.
Maybe a real game example would be like in vampire survivors you don't know that items can be combined but you do it just by playing and then that encourages you to find other cool combinations.
Hope this helps :)

Appreciate it! I have been working on a post jam update actually and thats something I have started to do. Focusing on some smaller two rune combos and having a few of the runes be "enhancement or amplification" runes to tag on to the two rune combos for more power.

Really appreciate all the good feedback I have gotten and am always looking for more feedback to make it as fun or interesting as it can be.

really interesting concept! i think the puzzle elements got kinda lost on me, kept losing track of whatever i learned. the visuals are stunning!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! and yeah I think I spent a bit too long on other stuff and wanted to add a spell book for learned spells as well as more clarity and mechanism for solving the puzzle.

Great art! I like concept of the game. I had fun! I could see adding a spell book for spells you already discovered. Good job!

Developer

Great suggestion I had thought about it and it didnt make final but will be in a post jam update :)

The game worked quite well... was really fun to play... would be nice to have some other ending then jumping to the menu... but overall with a bit of polish everything might come together quite nicely :)

Developer

Thank you! Yeah endings was definitely on my list haha, unfortunately it was just one of the things that got cut cause of time management lol.
