I used assets from Kenney's space shooter assets and Heartbeast's tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUeLesdL7lE&list=PL9FzW-m48fn09w6j8NowI_pSBVcsb3V78
I followed the tutorial then changed stuff.

Fun game, I love the daisy chain effect you promised in the title and had a lot of fun zooming. I agree with some of the other comments, hard to swap directions once you are going. I also didn't have a big enough incentive to make my orbit bigger, I was just happy keeping at a small one and daisy chain killing enemies away as I looped.

If you have power ups for stronger bullets, multiple bullets etc. at different radius, I can see that pulling me out of my comfort zone and playing with the risk and reward. Especially if you introduced more enemy types that need to be killed in a different way.

Awesome game, lots of potential. Would love if you checked out Orbit :) GO SPACE!

The amount of times I accidentally destroyed the earth... Great little game! :)

Thanks

No problem!

By the way, I would appreciate it if you can also try my game! :)

The controls were a bit unintuitive to me, but I got the hang of it. Maybe a bit more dynamic gameplay and snappier controls would do the game good. Once I started to go in one direction, I had to commit to it, because changing direction is slow. Maybe it could have been enough to only allow the player to control the radius.
Fun idea nevertheless!

Thanks for the feedback. I'll take what you said into consideration. Glad to hear you thought it was fun, means a lot coming from someone so associated with nihilism.

This is a cool concept. You could have told me this was an arcade game from the 70's/80's and I would have believed you (in the best way possible). The time it takes for the first enemies to appear on a new game was a bit too long for my taste personally and made it less easy to jump back into but I definitely like what you came up with!

Thanks, that means a lot. And I'll definitely take what you said about the downtime at the start into consideration. For the current game you can use wasd and c&v to move closer or further from the planet.

Blew up the earth in the first 5secs of starting the game.

Nice work! I did like the fact that explosions would set of others nearby

Loved the music! The idea of the daisy chain was really unique as well!
