This is a really fun way to do the looping spells gimmick, im a big fan of the hands on the screen, feels very void collector-y. The spells swapping is a little buggy, but other than that its a very well executed concept, im especially a fan of how the spells are both used to solve puzzles in the enviroment and as combat tools.
I would have loved to get another attack of some kind, although i might have just missed it.

Cool to see another game using looping spells. The only thing I wished would be the metronome would be 4 beats only to speed up the gameplay

Full Game Please :D

A really cool concept, love the visuals, some QOL would be if the less spells you have the lees the whole cycle would be because the wait for a missile at the beginning was bit too long for me. Also the timing felt pretty precise a little bit of space to use the correct spell would be nice. But overall really fun.

Really nice concept! There was some kind of latency issue though that made me have to cast a spell before the metronome had hit the beat, other than that very cool!

haha finger gun go boom boom

Really nice gameplay and use of the theme! Maybe the loop should be a lit bit slower so the player can have better timings but the rest is fantastic!

Really awesome game. Loved it!

One of the best games i played so far ! Maybe the 8 beat loop is a bit too long (the wait feels long before i can cast a spell again), maybe trying to make it half as long will solve that ? Other than that, the game design is really nice, as well as the graphics, well done ! :D

This takes the cake for me in many categories! Gameplay is excellent. I could compliment a lot about the game design but I'll leave it at that- just love the idea a LOT. And the art is so moody and excellent. With original music this would go craaaaazy.

Might be my favourite game of the entire jam. Super fun rythm based combat system, the art and audio design is fantastic. great job!

This was so cool! I enjoyed it a lot and I, actually, want more of it!

That was a very unique rhythm game, enjoyed it!

That was a blast! While the gameplay started off slow, as I got more spells it really became a unique and fun action system. Particularly enjoyed needing to switch the spell orders around to solve some of the jumping puzzles, would love to see more of this! - That music was super catchy too :)

This was a really fun take on the idea of loops in music. I liked how the sounds that the spells make kinda added to the music

Your music choice is so good! I had a blast playing this and really got into the beat and flow of the game immediately. I'm also a big fan of the level design and how every time you get a new spell, you can immediately think of a few places to use it to explore new platforming areas. It all feels very polished, intuitive, and well designed. I really hope you decide to expand this one after the jam!

I love the concept here! But, I find that the icon always lights up after the beat which feels disorienting and stops players who may be hard of hearing from playing well. But otherwise, the attacks being tied to the physical song is fun.

Music and art are all great. Big fan of all the sound effects happening on the beat. I do kinda wish you could map spells multiple times as it can get a little irritating to wait for the timer to come back around if you miss

I’m dying to see more of this, seriously. Art is on point, the music although not original is very well implemented, and the game just feels amazing. Most importantly I REALLY dig the spell slot system, it allows for so much player expression and room for exploring patterns. The only negative thing I can say is the spells didn’t “click” very well in their slots, maybe just a selection -> swap works better? But that’s it, incredible work.

The art style is glorious and unlocking new spells is really fun!
