It's really fun and addictive when the timing is just right and you can launch rockets in a row!

Sound design and visuals are fantastic! The flight controls might take some getting used to, but overall, it's still a great experience!

Developer

Thanks for playing and nice to hear that you liked the game! :D The controls might be a bit unconventional, but I think they (should) do exactly what you expect them to do at any point :) I guess in the end it's just timing, but I was thinking about adding some optional aim assist aswell...

Solid mechanic and overall vibe is nice. Love the parallax stars background (but how can there be parallax if the universe is flat?) Controls felt a bit floaty, and going back to enable upgrades is pretty annoying.

Developer

Thanks for playing and your feedback! ;) Going back with the upgrades felt like an easy way to extend the gameplay a bit, but maybe adding some sort of fast travel would be nice atleast :)

And well... Flat Universe is still just a theory I suppose... many things we don't know yet... :D

The visuals and sounds are a complete vibe! maybe its just a skill issue on my part, but i found having to go to home planet for upgrades to be kinda annoying. other than that, great game!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah, I can see returning to be tedious, but I felt like this was the only way to make the game "harder" or atleast not possible within your first flight :D Feedback is noted either for an update or future games ;)

I think the idea is good and the controls, while finnicky, work well enough, the gameplay itself at some point becomes boring. Before the fuel converter, you have to play well to get back to your home planet in time, but once you have it you have to be literally AFK for fuel to ever matter again, especially because you can stack it up past the refill limit. At this point, returning to your home planet to upgrade also just becomes tedious instead of the second half of the journey that you have to plan for and allocate fuel accordingly. I also ran into a bug with the navigation assistant, In general, I don't understand what it does or how it works. It appears to be some sort of auto aim, but it was entirely unclear to me how to direct it. It had the opposite effect of making the game harder for me, until my ship eventually got stuck in an endless state of vibrating in place. Also, I would love to see zoom or camera panning or something similar, because launching at offscreen asteroids is very annoying and you just have to try until you happen to land the right angle. The camera should at the very least show everything in reach of your current location on screen.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Also thats a lot of valuable feedback :) I agree with most of it and can only offer my excuse of only having one day to make the game (due to personal reasons) :D The bug of course is a problem... I will look into it ;) Also launching to far out of screen was never intended as it should not be a "chance-based" game. :)

Super creative. Love it. Would not mind to see how far this sling youreselve into space mechanic could be pushed.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Yeah, I ended up nerfing it a bit to make the game less chance based by hitting some random planet super far away. :D But I think you can still circumvent my restrictions and fly quite far ;)

Flying from asteroid to asteroid feels satisfying. I managed to get to the brown blueish planet :)

Thanks for playing! There's a bit more to discover, but it might be on the more difficult side of jam games. ;)

Fun game with cool premise. I enjoyed that you included updates for each new discovery!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah, I also think each update enables a lot more progress, but maybe I could have been more clear about what exactly the updates do. :D
