Creative game! It was hard to concentrate on two things at once but then it felt more rewarding

The concept is creative. A few tweaks with how the controls work would make this a lot more fun to play. I find it a bit too fast to maneuver around but I still enjoyed how it played. I would love to see you develop this idea further. Great job!
Creative idea but nearly impossible to control. I need to focus on both the battlefield and the note feed.
Creativity is on point. I see your influences and like the direction. I wonder what a static puzzle type of dungeon would look like with this game? Forgive me if there was one already, I didn’t get very far.
Very fun concept, but I think the notes coming in on the bottom make it very hard to take in all the information you need. Maybe having them flying in at the players head would make it all a bit easier to process. Great work on the art and character design though, it's definitely got style.
A cool twist on the theme! Someone has already mentioned it, but reminds me of Crypt of the Necrodancer a bit :D
My only issue with the game is that the layout is not very comfortable. You have to constantly switch your attention between two separate screens, which gets overwhelming very quickly. If you decide to continue working on the game after the jam, I'd recommend switching to a vertical layout for the notes.
A good game overall, I liked the premise!
This is a cool movement system, takes a bit to get used to lol. I died :p
Hello there, fellow DJ loop developers! We had a similar theme for our game, though we certainly went in quite a different direction.
Wow, what a cool and unique idea! A mouse-controlled turn-based dungeon crawler rhythm game is an incredible concept to even attempt, and I'd say you manage to do it quite well, too! There is nothing I can criticize about the core idea itself.
However, I personally found the UI to be slightly too overwhelming. The audio track-like movement system is a nice touch, but I feel like the inputs should probably be closer to the general dungeon area of the screen, as I couldn't manage to properly focus on either part very well. I feel like you should maybe lift up the movement UI to the same height as the dungeon gameplay, or it can get very confusing and/or difficult to follow. But there's some genuinely great core ideas here that could be expanded into a full game!
Hi! Thank you so much for playing! ♡
Oh wow, what a coincidence! Will definitely be checking out your game later! :D
Appreciate the detailed feedback! We are quite fond of the gameplay mechanics too, we should definitely come back to this later down the line after the jam~ And yeah, we do agree after playtesting it is quite hard to keep track of both the dungeon screen and the notes screen at the same time. Maybe in a future iteration we can move it to the side or maybe even overlay it on top of the game somehow!
Fun idea! The turn interval style kinda reminds me of crypt of the necrodancer, with very nice simplistic execution. It's quite challenging too, I always died after landing two or so hits. Overall very fun take on the theme!
Fun idea for a movement and attack system. Also, great soundtrack.
