A bare-bones, but released game jam game is better than the 90% of people who don't even post anything in the end. But either way, it's all about having fun at the end of the day.
I did have a blast with it! Thank you for your words
I can definitely clearly see a vision here, I see the potential in this tower defense kind of idea you got. Add some enemy variety, more powerups, maybe a shop/upgrade system, and you got youself a pretty good game!
Thanks for the suggestions! The original idea was for the player to get paid after each round and upgrade through a shop, and the little power-ups to be temporary. You're supposed to be a mercenary after all
very nice concept ngl
Still very bare bones. It wasn't clear what the powerups actually did. Regardless, I can understand you didn't have enough time to finish it. The graphics and animations did look very polished. I'm curious to see what this game would become if given more time. I'd certainly recommend continuing work on this after the jam.
Oh yeah, the game is far from being done, I will definetly continue to work on it after this jam :D
Thank you for the feedback! It helps a lot
Hey, no problem. By the way, if you have time, I'd appreciate it if you checked out our game.
The attacking and the animations were very good, especially the little twirl the skull does when an enemy is killed. It would benefit greatly from some sound effects and maybe some indications about the upgrades even tho you have them in the description. I found it charming!
I would love to take credit for thee animations but that is all from the asset pack I used https://pixelfrog-assets.itch.io/tiny-swords
Sound is THE priority on what we'll work on next for this game and I hear you about the power-ups, those were just a placeholder but we couldn't get them done on time
I can defend against multiple waves from either side. This could turn into a mobile game some day. Good job!
Good game
Please rate:
Simple Loop fun!! Nice Job!
I would love your rating to my game!
Nice hectic button masher, reminds of the golden years of Flash games.
nice game
Great game, has a lot of potential, I like that we had very similar ideas for our games, just with swapped roles
Thanks! Yours is definetly better lol
Really nice concept! A good start for a fun game! I'd like to see a further version of it!
Thank you! We will continue to work on it, more versions are coming!
Nice concept! I like to set up my attacks in the middle of 2 characters to hit them at the same time, super fun, good job!
Its a cool game. very creative :) (rate mine please)
It would be great if when changing sides of defense the sprite of player and enemies changed to the opposite color so that we could feel we change teams :) Other than that it's a nice piece.
In spare time please also rate my game
We had the sprites for the other team ready when we realized we only had one hour left (Time-zone confusion lol) so that's coming on the next update!
it's unfinished but plays very well, hope you update it after the jam
We will! Thank you for playing
Pretty nice game
The changing side was pretty cool I liked it
Even though its unfinished, i really enjoyed it. The art was great and the side change every time was also an interesting idea. I wish there were some sounds though.
Sound is definetly the priority in what we want to add to the game. Thank you for playing, glad you liked it!
I liked the graphics and concept, mostly because I really enjoyed plants vs zombies and this had a similar feel to it. Would have been cool to have more weapons or powerups and such to choose from, but I totally understand how difficult that is in such a short amount of time.
Thanks for the feedback! We totally want to keep expanding the players arsenal with more weapons and some spells too!
