HPL YES.  Cosmic weird tales achievement unlocked, level up.

Developer

Thanks! Maybe I'll be able to defeat the cosmic horrors at second level lol!

I like how you've put your inspirations front and center. There's really tasty lore seeded in this that would be really fun to discover. Each of the four main points of interest feels really compelling and holds some clear risks.

The Vagrant Color is a really scary monster that feels very much out of the fiction that inspired this, particularly in the fact that it is so lethal, seemingly insurmountable, but once the secret to defeating it has been discovered, it doesn't take more than one or two blows to do so.

I also really like the motivation of the Dark Hunter.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I've toying with the idea of using monsters (and combat) as puzzles. Hope the module works for you!

This adventure has clear links with appendix N and it reflects throughout the piece. I like the direct links to Lovecraft and the weird locations are memorable. As others have mentioned, having a keyed out map would have enhanced playability a little. This module has strong imagery and thematic ties to the source material which I really like.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, the map was cut because the deadline was approaching...

Thanks for the compliments!

Great art and I appreciate the structure of info around the locations, use of spacing and bold text, everything is attractive on the page. Very weird locations that are interesting. I'm imagining how to incorporate this scenario into a variety of different genres and games, and I think it would work well and adapt pretty easily. Well done.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much! I got used to using bold and italics because of the zine I produce, and it really helps a lot with visualizing the essential information!

Submitted(+1)

This module has strong imagery. I think a map and more granularity regarding the physical space would be a helpful addition for playability. This aligns well with Appendix N themes.

Developer

yeah, i thought a lot about  doing a map. But in the end, time was already running out and i had to simplify things a little. But I've been thinking about doing a expanded version in the future, for the scenario i'm producing! Thanks for your time!

Submitted(+1)

yeah time and space were hard on this one. i look forward to your next projects!

Developer(+1)

We're close to finishing the first English edition of the Península Ancestral zine. We've already released two editions in Portuguese, and work on the next 2. I'm hoping you'll get a chance to check it out once it's out!

Submitted(+1)

that’s awesome! yeah definitely let me know.

I love the explicit references to Lovecraft. My favorite location is the cathedral with the starfish history up on the walls. Great vibes overall.

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, the story of the starfish is actually a reference to some other tales from Lovecraft (mainly the Mountains of Madness).

So yeah, the module is explicitly using another authors ideas - a very common thing in the appendix N pulp authors lol

Submitted(+1)

Wow love the enemy.  Really inventive. I wish there was another way to win the mod.  Great art. But I guess that is an homage to Lovecraft.

Good job.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, the idea was to make the enemies "unfathomable"!

Submitted(+1)

Lots of ideas to cook with here. Great work riffing on Lovecraft!

Developer

Thanks! Hope it's usefull!!!

What an excellent execution the the title. Perfect little drop in adventure site! Great work!

Developer

Thanks! I feel like I've spent all my energies trying to find the right angle! Happy that it worked!

Love the art and design. I can see inserting this adventure into a campaign to send the players somewhere far out.

Developer

thank you very much! I've never used my own art on my projects, to much self criticism to do it lol(in my eyes, they look like a kid's doodles:-)
