  • What chill way to spend a quiet afternoon - making delicious noodles on a cozy space station. There could have been more depth in conversation with customers, the park groundskeeper set a good benchmark for what that might have looked like, but ultimately this delivered on what was most important to the game: engaging cooking. Can't wait to see what you cook up next!
  • Right off the bat, I loved the premise. Giving customers worms is a funny idea (and plays off that mischief angle Untitled Goose Game mastered), but what’s even more delightful here is that a portion of these customers like worms! A surprisingly wholesome twist. The pacing was very unique for this style of game, which I consider a strength. There are no timers for food, and no penalties for serving the wrong dish (ex. if you score less than 3 for back-to-back customers, your restaurant closes and you trigger a “game over” sequence). Resource management also isn’t brutal and if I run out of a key ingredient, the days are short and I’ll likely be able to get more later. Because there aren’t penalties, experimentation is far more encouraged, which also adds to the laid-back feel. I’m not sure if omitting these mechanics was planned from the beginning, or the result of game jam time constraints, but either way, I’m happier. There's a lot of potential for scaling should you continue working on this! If you’d like more feedback, feel free to reach out on the Cryptic Conservatory discord linked on the jam page!

This was really cute! I loved the music and the illustrations, and I enjoyed trying to figure out what combination of items each species would like best. I found the turtles quite difficult to please lol. I'm not sure if the game has an ending to it--I played about 8 rounds or so. Really fun, thanks!

I love the cooking simulator and the music is such a vibe. I can definitely see potential to make this a longer game with more recipes and more customers to meet!
