Wow, this was actually much better than I was expecting. I already thought that the game was really cute, but after a while, I got really immersed into the atmosphere and mood. There was a bit of a jank feel to it all, but it was really charming and felt thematic to the game.
Enemy design is really fun to play against and the loop got pretty tense due to the lack of checkpoints.
Really nice job! This is one of my favorite submissions!
It was pretty good and I finished the game. Loved how you set some of the quests based on interactions with the npcs. Wasn't sure of the story behind the last 2 quests, felt like some plot was missing. Also not sure if I was simply having one of my episodes but there was some zoom effect into some monster or so which had me expecting a boss fight.
Kinda rushed the story since im not really good at writing but i will try to update it after the jam ends!
As a sucker for top-down shooter I rather enjoy this. The combat was really fun and the vibe was totally unhinged in a creative way. The last level caught me off guard good.
