  • had distinct voices and personalities, so throwing them into a room together was a great way to cause a strong chemical reaction. Add a few rodent hijinks and you’ve got the perfect recipe for comedy. I thought the addition of the mice was a fun nod to the Maze Gallery and I appreciated that Leland cut himself off from explaining them completely. It added to the brevity of the joke without lingering too long for those who didn’t know the reference. Overall, this is a fun little addition to the jam and a nice change of pace! If you’d like more feedback, feel free to reach out on the Cryptic Conservatory discord linked on the jam page!
  • An adorable short story, and a colorful look at life on Nova Station through unconventional means. There are some grammatical edits to be made, but the back and forth of engineers from different cultures and species and work habits was hilariously entertaining. For the short page count there is a lot of action going on, and though I wish the stakes were a little higher or the resolution a little more impactful it's a story that leaves the reader with a cozy, comfortable reassurance.

Great glimpse of life in Leland's shop. I really liked the descriptions of Wallop and the mice (loved the Maze Gallery shoutout!). And the bureaucrat Zarton was a good foil, bringing out Leland's prickly and rebellious qualities.

I like how we get a more backstory on Leland (a.k.a Dis-knee princess)  and how he interacts with the other sentients in Nova Station. The interaction was interesting and would've liked to see the consequences of being seen with the critters.
