How does your game fit the theme?
You are a little alien who just crashed and need to fix your ship. You have 30 seconds until the ship explodes, but you have the power to go back in time so you just repeat over and over those 30 seconds until you success.

Good job! The art is lovely. It takes me some time to figure out that I need find a key to ufo, not put out the fire to rescue the ufo

Hey! I've updated the game with music, sfx and better visuals! Check it out if you want! https://jowih.itch.io/looping-crisis

The game was cool and the graphic style really surprised me, I really like it, the isometric view is a real game changer in my opinion, I haven't seen many games in the genre, I hope the game continues its development :)

P.S.: If you would like to check out the game I worked on, I would be grateful 🙏 (In your free time of course)🙏

That was a fun game! I like that the solutions were laid out in such a way that you needed to find where items were in previous loops! A simple concept that you excuted really well! The art was really nice to look at too, would love to play again when you add some audio, well done for the game I really enjoyed it.

Developer

Thanks!! Yes the idea was to learn from previous loops and optimize until you make your way to the end. If you want you can add it to your collection so you can replay it when the update comes!! (I'm adding a few features along with the audio)

Fun game, I love isometric games. Barely managed to finish it (just 1 second left), pretty challenging, good job.

Developer

Thank you! Yes, the timer is so tight (maybe too tight). I was thinking about putting more time as some people can't even finish it, but i think it's more interesting this way, and adds duration to the game. I'll put a reset button tho so you can reset instantly if you mess up at the beggining.

It has cool graphics and a nice top-down perspective. I love the exploration of this little world. I discover that the vertical movement is much faster than the horizontal one. So pressing multiple arrow keys to move seems to be the best strategy.
Yet, the fitting of the theme is exactly what reduces the enjoyment. The level literally stays the same if you take away the looping part, and I find it no fun to repeat again and again just to optimize your path. Sorry for being not so constructive.

Developer

Hi! Thanks anyway for the feedback, I'll check the vertical velocity thing. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the looping part. The idea was to discover the right path with repetition to finally make your way to the end. Of course it has a lot of room for improvement and maybe some variation across the multiple loops. And i'm glad you liked the graphics, i'm not an artist and put a lot of effort on that. Thank you for being honest.

Lovely art style! It would be nice to be able to restart at any moment, so if you mess up in the first few seconds you dont have to wait the whole loop. Congrats on making your first solo game!

Developer

Yes! i will implement that feature as many people has already pointed that out. Thank you so much for the feedback!

Good job in completing your first GameJam! I did enjoy your game, though I did not manage to finish it, the time is quite tight. I liked the sprites a lot, particular the fire and the Countdown. Audio would have helped a lot.

Keep up the good work!

Developer

Thank you!! After the voting i'll update the game with sound and adjust a bit the timer. I think I suffered from tunnel vision with the timer as I know the whole level from memory hahahha. Thanks for the feedback!
