Great story! You gave some real thought to the infected and I really enjoyed the description of how the infection chose what to change in each host. It's a very clever way to move the infected away from being mindless husks and towards entities with real character. And the ending was superb. Love it. 

Excellent characterization of the infected. And very well written. It took a minute to settle in, but you wrote a very good story.

The representation of the Infected was well done. A difficult thing to do, and yet you have done it with flair.

This was super cool.  Making us sympathise with a faction that is so monstrous at face value is no easy task, and the subtle worldbuilding was well done.

Enjoyed the change in perspective. 

Exciting take on what can often be cliche. I really enjoyed the breakdown of the infection taking over the different bodies.  Great job.

Awesome to see an Infected Colonies story and such a well written one! A little too much exposition for my tastes but overall definitely one of the standout stories! Also kind of similar to my story so obviously it's good ;)

Again, it's so nice to see quite different entries and interesting stories. Really enjoyed seeing a different side to a faction so that's so easy to stereotype.

I really like the ending, and the characters definitions. Not an easy choice, but entertaining to read. 

Big fan of this one. An Infected Colonies story is rare, and you do an excellent job of making Vera and the rest of the Infected sympathetic while still making sure they still come across as inhuman. The severed hand, especially, was an inspired touch.
