Interesting concept. I didn't well understand the danger for my first run and died like an idiot xD.

Admittedly, besides the description and an incognito progress bar at the top, I haven't really given any indication on what's really going on 😀

I struggle with onboarding when I have unlimited time, let alone when I have 3 hours in which to squeeze everything else.

Unfortunately the web build does not seem to be loading for me. From the screenshots, it looks nice though!

I think it takes a bit of time to load the first load. Just give it a second maybe. And also, I think Firefox doesn't work well with unity games...

Thanks for trying, tho.

Thanks for the web build, I saw this in the jam last week but I'm a mac user.

I like the classic limited palette and how you did the art. The cataclysm got me a few times, and I can tell you put some effort into the animation. The first time I tried to go up and went on a diagonal forwards instead, it felt really cool because of how aligned it was with the theme, making the gameplay feel different from standard grid-based movement.

At first I wasn't sure whether I was missing a button for resource collection, and then I wondered if it happens automatically. Because sometimes it seemed to. It took a long time to figure out that each different action uses the indicated letter, and when I was using WASD to move I was accidentally digging sometimes. I think the controls could be simplified to an action button and an eat button, which would be the A and B buttons of the gameboy version. But either way, you might want to put a note in the controls part of the description, for those who are a bit slow like me.

I think this is very close to a nice experience, with some sound and music to complete the vibe. I hope you'll be participating again next week!

The death animation goes hard - I  would have loved to see a score or some sort of like reward for my run but yeah. I loved the building feature as well, i was asking myself what wood was for right up until I had to build haha.
