  • Your GDD seems like it has been used well to organise your game's creation, functioning exactly how one should. I found the opening cutscene of your game very compelling and a great set-up for the story. It had a nice amount of polish to it. As soon as it was over, however, it was strange to just be dumped in a massive open terrain without guidance on what to do. I enjoyed exploring the different environments that had been made, but I didn't find anything that I could interact with (as much as I tried spamming E). There were some bugs in your game, such as HTML tags being written out in the dialogue system, wrong terrain textures, z layering issues, and sprites tearing or jiggling slightly when moving which was distracting. Overall I think this has the great beginnings of a game, but needs some work adding content or directing the player to whatever content does exist. I hope you take your ideas further and flesh them out because it's looking good so far!

I like the concept, and the intro sequence is pretty neat (especially the animation on the text appearing - nice touch). I like the art style. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything to interact with after doing a full circle around the map. Not sure if I missed something or if there were just unfinished parts of the game. I noticed a few graphical glitches on the right side of the map - tile seams and such. Overall, good effort, but feels unfinished.
