  • Very interesting concept, unfortunately it seems like some of the blocks were not functioning as intended as I would often get stuck in loops with nothing happening. It has a lot of potential and you could rather easily expand it will additional block colours. I think it is a decent interpretation of the theme and has potential to be very interesting. The Game Design Document feels a bit scattered, and could use some attention around concept art as well as a production timeline. Great concept, keep up the good work!

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarize your game!
OneTile is a puzzle game based around the concept of cellular automata. Unique tile-tile interactions make the game puzzling (more than we anticipated!) yet fun.

Please explain how your game fits the theme.
Only one tile can be left behind at the conclusion of the automata in order to pass the level. It's often easy to get to zero; or to annihilate no tiles at all. But leaving one presents a unique challenge.

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Each puzzle doesn't just have one unique solution. Sometimes a large part of the fun is finding all of the solutions.

i read the docs on this, and it sounds amazing. i'm kind of a chess nut, and this kind of game is right up my alley.

i'm having a hard time getting the rules lined up, so there's some work to do on my part before i really know wut to do, but a warning to others, please do not sell this game short on ui. that's definitely not the point!

Thanks! We definitely weren't able to get it to the level of polish we would have liked, but we're gonna keep working on it.
