Although it's a smaller experience with only one game, I think the game has a lot of polish to it. That includes the animated card movements, the backgrounds, sound effects, music, and transitions between game states. This game has potential with more rounds, maybe even special effect cards and such. Nice work!

- I really enjoyed this card game. It was a little weird adjusting to the limited card values, but it wasn't bad. I didn't get a chance to test out a straight, but that was the only hand combination that wasn't obvious from the traditional set of poker. I love a minimal pallet, so the black and white art works for me, though I'm honestly not sure what each of the suits is supposed to be depicting. Ultimately irrelevant to gameplay, but not immediately apparent which was intended as "nature" or "technology". I liked the idea of the score bar, but I did find myself wishing for a numerical score value as well as the visual one. I wanted to know what each hand scored so I could adjust strategy. The 'end of demo' animation was great. I really liked the game. There's still plenty of room to come back with the intended story and build it over multiple planets as the deck changes. Great job!

Summarize your game!
Mouse only
Play against the COM in a competitive card game very similar to Balatro/Poker.
Highest score (represented by a bar on screen) when the deck runs out, wins the match.
Please explain how your game fits the theme.
When we originally started planning this game we had intended to really push the feeling that you are the only one remaining in an empty galaxy. Lonely beyond compare, but determined. The only one able to fix things.
We moved past that plan pretty quickly as the game became more card-centric. So we sought to connect to the theme in as many ways as possible.
- The game's artstyle is black and white. Only one color
- Only one button is needed to play (left mouse)
- Only one game of cards will determine the fate of the planet
- (In later versions) the player will have only one "life" as they progress though a roguelike map of the galaxy. For now though, there's only one level.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Nothing in particular. A fair and unbiased first impression is all we could ask for. Though comments on the art and music are always appreciated.
