I played this for a while and like the other reviews, I had a hard time getting through it. It is a little very unforgiving to the player. A block or duck would help evade the projectiles. Also when you went to another room that had an enemy, they fired at the start making it difficult. I really wanted to get further to see what else there was to the game. As mentioned, a check point would help with keeping the player going. What I did play I did like and I played for a while because I wanted to see more. Also, trying to figure out what the game image has to do with the game you play...

Relly hard to beat. Enemy kills me when I climb for a key, and it's to boring to start over and over again.

I've played for like half an hour but I haven't beaten it. I think the idea is really cool of what you guys were going for and I do love how the game transpired from then on after using the "bug"  but the gameplay and the controls to back this up was poor. The gameplay is too slow for what is supposed to be a heist game and beyond that, a game where you're trying to escape for your very existence. Using the up and down arrow keys or W/S keys for going up and down would be a lot more satisfying and have it be more universal than assigning than having to switch to space to go up and control to go back down. I think there should have been at the very minimal a  checkpoint as the placeholder regains control and leaves as dying and going all the way back made it a drag to go through again and again as the game keeps getting flipped on its head with new enemies and new scenarios.  I got all the way to the dev 1 part where you'll have to use the "bug" even faster which is difficult as there's a miniscule time window to actually press all 3 keys at the same time. I got there at least numerous times and each time more unforgiving than the last with one instance of me choosing my latest run to attack the dev causing it to glitch and keep me in place permanently during the supposed death animation. I think the game would've worked more if the player was then given a shooting mechanic to use for the latter parts, the game was faster paced, and there was a bit more of a forgiving nature in terms of the use of its controls. Again, I'm giving it 5 stars for the theme usage because this is one of the most creative uses of the theme I've seen used in this jam but there should've been more tweaking and testing in the gameplay to make it a much more satisfying experience. Congrats on your game regardless, you still have worked very hard to make this game and you should give yourselves a pat on the back for your efforts.
