This entry is really vivid and rich with text and story; I was delighted to see how many different outcomes you wrote up and how cohesive the entire thing is. Narrative wise, this game works really well with itself, if that makes sense. You have a very clear image of what the game will be when you start reading it, and the entire game follows through on your opening premise. It feels like navigating through a video game with cutscenes, knowing that there are more things you could see if you were just able to figure out how to get there. My only real issue with the game is the formatting and font, the base font feels more like a display font than a body text font. I would have also liked to see more images scattered in the document, as it is a bit text heavy. That aside, really good entry and good work making something that feels like it could be played over and over like a favorite video game.

Good LORD you put some work into this one! I had to skim over the clues and such so as to not spoil things, but the 4d4s system sounds super fascinating and your use of it as a investigation system is really cool. I love having all the results linked so you can sit and write in a digital journal and jump from result to result and the use of different fonts and such for the clues gives a very newspaper articles and strings feel to it.

I will say I’m not a fan of the main font, particularly when it comes to the rank pages. the Jack Queen and King feel hard to read. There are a few vector sets of playing cards on pixabay and Canva that might make a better asset to use so it is a quick and easy visual link from the card. Other than that the system seems super fun to run through, I’m just not a hundred percent sure multiple playthroughs will feel super different unless you fail or hit a moderate success the first time. Definitely added to my ever growing list of todos though!

Thanks for the feedback. Also thanks for the vector set idea! I might end up using those if I try this format again :)
