The pixel art is really good. I think the reflections on the ground are a nice touch. The game feels like it could use some numbers, HUD, or other indicators of what's going on. For example, I'd like to know how much damage my attacks are doing or what level I'm currently at. I thought Doki's overworld sprite was fun and I liked that her old rabbit characters were included; these were nice touches.
The pixel art is super pretty. I like the environment design too. Along with the player and enemies, it all fits a nice aesthetic. Everything from the moving, attacking, and death animations for the Dragoons was top notch!
I think the screen shake is a bit too much when you hit an enemy. And I didn't know of the level up mechanic until I talked to Doki randomly later on, though I didn't really feel any difference.
The art is gorgeous. Regarding gameplay, I appreciate the game juice you've included-- such as the screen shake and particle effects on attack hit-- but I feel that adding a setting to tone down the screen shaking would be helpful (because I got kind of dizzy after some time ^-^"). I see the vision though, and I enjoyed playing.
The Pixel art is really well done and the game play is solid although sometimes it's hard to tell when I get hit or if I'm doing more or less damage. Having some damage numbers might be really helpful in conveying changes in attack or health. Overall good job!
Love me a roguelike :)
I wasn't really sure what the stacking effect was supposed to be though?
Your guys pixel art is really solid. I also love the screen shake but I almost wish it was on player being hit rather then when you hit an enemy that way I could tell if I was hit or not. Yalls chonk is horrifying in the best way.
Love all the pixel art!
