Very fun puzzle game.

I love the references you included and the Mint minigame is a great pace changer. Love all the broken glasses after you keep failing.

You captured some very good voice lines too! Both for the minigame and for the main game. They add a lot to the game's charm!

The tutorial is also very well made, explaining all the concepts and guiding the player step by step.

I wish I could've played this during the rating phase. It's a shame this game got a score penalty due to the below median number of ratings.

Great work!

Thanks for the review!

as for the score penalty/number of ratings, it is what it is; I just hope everyone who played it has fun, and Doki gets to play it herself!

Awesome game!  Very clever, addicting, and tricky puzzle elements; incorporates Doki's themes and humor extremely well, and bonus points for Mint cameo

A very unique puzzle game! Surprised on how you combined both resource management with the number of turns, as well as having to defeat the enemies. Some times I just farmed trophies for upgrades when there was just one enemy left. I felt that chaining them was really hard at times if you have a bad train spawn, or I'm just not good at it haha.

The artwork is nice, and I like the hub being a saloon. Having game upgrades to make the subsequent runs easier, and even the insanely fast timing bar game. Loved seeing the broken glass on the floor too.

Super fun. Loved the art style and the little minigame is a nice cherry on top.

A fun and interesting mix between puzzle and 'resource management'-typed games. I spent more time playing this than I would expect. Things became much more rewarding once I figured out how to plan my moves. There are plenty of flairs like the drinking minigame and crow that really breaks away from the main gameplay in a good way. The only thing I dislike would be how I get one-shoted by the hardest boss because I did not get the health upgrades, but I guess that's intended? The tutorial level was very helpful for figuring out the gameplay, and having one this tightly integrated into the game is a big plus. Great job on the game!

Yeah, players are guaranteed to getting 1-shotted in the last level (the Kratos-tomato) for 2 reasons:

  1. it was an incentive to either do the drinking mini-game, or go to the shop to spend your trophies on items; basically a pseudo-rogue-lite game-play loop.
  2. Increase the chances that players get to see (and hear) the game-over screen, because I want players to see and experience everything I've put into the game, with only 2-weeks time frame everything I add has to add value to the experience

That's also why I gave Players the option to skip ahead the other bounties (even the tutorial, but on hindsight that might be unwise) and underestimate the 5-star difficulty bounty, but I did add a tool-tip indicating the difficulty with arbitrary star-ratings to inform the player what they're getting themselves into!

Anyways, thanks for playing and I appreciate the kind reply you've written! cheers~

I love it when you can fail at a minigame and have a funny outcome. Broken glass on the floor after you fail at catching the glass is awesome

Thank you for the kind comment!

The glass and spilled beer was actually a last minute addition, because I had a little over a day left until the Jam was over, glad you like it!

Having DAD run from the doorway to lick the beer off of the floor if you failed enough times was also an idea, but I had to keep the scope-creep under control, haha

Oh! Nice take on a Zumba-style game. It feels challenging but not unfair. Well done!
