Very fun game I liked using the egg to fling the wooden beams around!
I like the sling shot. The different Dragoon types were nice once the wood and other types of enemies showed up. I didn't know how to get super high scores in the first 2 maps until the wood beams showed up and I targeted them The physics on the TNT was nice. Also, the camera moving towards where you aim is a nice touch!
I honestly struggled to play this on my computer at first because the resolution is too big, my computer itself is not 1080p, had to use a tv as monitor and even then it was a bit too big to show everything at once (maybe due to be playing on the browser and not fullscreen)
I only noticed that the pieces at the bottom can be hit on the second level, when there are targets near them... and that and the third level are when the theme really starts applying.
I really liked the sound effects when the targets are hit though, I found them funny. And the background music was nice.
I really liked the slingshot setup and the art! The earlier levels don't seem to really incorporate the chain reaction theme but I liked the vibe overall!
The perspective on the slingshot felt very nice. I wish it translated a little into the background too, but oh well. The gameplay is fun and shooting things down is satisfying. I didn't even realize there was a timer most of the time. Its hard for me to see the "chain reaction" theme on the earlier levels, and its not until later that the physics objects flying around started to make fun chains. Unfortunately it was not clear what caused any of the chain reactions, things just happened as I shot wildly.
Nice sprite work, nice music, simple solid programming. Nicely done!
very solid! at first I thought it'd just be and angry birds clone but there are interesting changes to that formula (with the different firing perspective, having to beat the timer, among other things). references were on point too!
if I had to critique something: the chain reactions felt a little inconsistent at times; and the differences between different dragoon types felt kind of negligible for the most part, but I can see the vision for sure :)
not sure if its a my computer thing (I've been playing other games just fine, so I dont think it is) but the game isn't loading. Just getting a white screen.
Yeah the others have noticed the issue. We are trying to fix the bugs!
try it again, the programmers did a small bug fix!
