This was a pretty solid rotating puzzle game. Would have loved some music in it, but overall it was nice.
Simple yet solid puzzle game. Could tell implementing the puzzle generation took some time. Liked having the option to change the level size. Love the inclusion of WASD/Q/E controls.
Would have loved if there was a relaxing background music though the sound effects were good.
I experienced a crash when pressing ‘New’ after completing a puzzle, the game seemed to not respond.
An interesting puzzle with cool art.
The aesthetics of this game are very nice. I like the premise, even if I really struggle finishing a puzzle over the smallest size :) Yes, a tutorial and music would have been good, but the guts are good and it’s very appealing to look at and play.
Without the background music, it feels so empty.
It's also not very clear from the start what the game wants. It wasn't until part of the field turned gray that I realized I'd done something right. Well, after finishing the level, the game just broke down without showing anything.
I get this feeling that I've robbed you all of some good time because of the lack of music. Sorry (ㅠ﹏ㅠ)
As for the tutorial, I'll try to add some. I just thought that most jam people would already know it the moment they see it. Also the menu layout shows the basic logic with all the pieces. Not obvious, but it's there!
A nice puzzle game! But I did feel the absence of background music while playing. I also think adding some progress and level information would improve the experience. Other than that, nice work for Game Jam!
Pretty simple, but entertaining. Making a system that can auto generate these puzzles is pretty impressive. Music is sorely missing here.
Thank you for playing!
To be honest, it's not that hard to code a generation algorithm, as it's basically a maze cut into pieces. The only real challenge was that I decided to implement "Two crossed" and "Two corners" pieces without proper rewriting the code, so it's a bit ugly inside.
really nice puzzle game! it's simple, yet challenging, with a cute artstyle to match!
I complete the first level and cant play the others
love the artstyle!!
Nice Game!!!!
Nice puzzle game! It is very cute and relaxing, a very nice casual game I can recommend to people. Music and a bit more variety would be very cool!
Thank you. I have some variety ideas in mind, but if you happen to have something on your mind it would be of great help.
This game definitely needs some music. It's definitely something I'd play while waiting in a lobby or something. Not a bad puzzle game though
Very cute puzzle game! It's endearing and makes me want to just play it for minutes while freeing my brain from everything else. Some music would go so far in this game though.
That's not unlike me: I tend to play Netwalk —a game this one is inspired by — before bed or when feeling overwhelmed just to calm down. Glad I was able to pass that feeling. And I'll definitely try to make some music for it too.
Very fun and satisfying to play. Like someone else mentioned, the game froze for me after finishing a level, but the game was fun enough that i reloaded and kept playing, still a bummer though. Would've wished for a progression path / levels, and music to fit the calm vibe. But otherwise great game! The game could definetly be built on!
Thanks for your kind words. Allow me to ask: do you have any ideas of what type of progression you'd like to see in the game? Something like opening achievements and some in game stuff or more of a progression within a session, like some roguelite elements and difficulty ramp up?
In my head i was thinking more like difficulty ramps up after each puzzle, maybe in size, but also adds more rules. Like some flowers might need to be attached to water as well, or they might need to be isolated from other plants. I have no idea if these specific ideas would make for a more fun puzzle, (im sure you could come up with better solutions and rules to add). But atleast thats where my mind went as i was playing, that the core is fun, but it would be interesting if more complexity could build up over time.
I love relaxed puzzle games like this! Good job!
The game is really cool and a fresh take on the theme. I notice the sound being very quiet and no music but other than that, a really nice cozy game! Good job :D
A pleasant puzzle game that's easy to engage with and decently fun to try and solve the winding plant paths. Good job!
Fun and simple gameplay! I enjoyed the relaxing nature (XD) of it!
Quite fun, with good art. Some ambient music track might be nice to set the mood. Gameplay is good, although when I click the New button, my browser locks up.
Thanks for the kind words! Believe it or not, I was planning to make an ambient track for it, but ran out of steam because of some coding and life issues.
What comes to the bug you've mentioned... That only occurs on web build and I've managed to notice it after setting up the web version. It was an easy fix, just two lines of code. Problem is, I fixed it for the Back button, but not for the New. It hurts (ㅠ﹏ㅠ)
I'll push the fix after the voting period ends. As for now, one can either get back to menu and start a game from there or just don't rush and wait for several seconds after the animation stops before pressing it.
I've had fun playing this puzzle game. The controls, especially being able to navigate the grid and rotate the blocks using only the keyboard, were really well thought out. The only thing I wish for is some kind of level system so I could keep track of how many puzzles I’ve completed.
Glad you liked the navigation, I did put some thought into it! But my only tester told me she's only going to use mouse -_-
As for the level system it's an interesting idea. On the one hand, that's a fun thing to track your progress and get some sense of pride and accomplishment [sic], one the other I'm terrified to know how much time I've spent on, say, Simon Tatham's puzzle collection. But I think it might be worth it if paired with either a hardcore trackers — number of turns to complete, relation to the God number, time to solve — or recreational ones, like gallery of solved puzzles or cosmetic rewards.
