I was very surprised that this is a horror game, when I read the lore I was like, oouhh, nice story adventure game, but as soon as I saw that maze, man… It’s incredible how much atmosphere you created with just two colors, it looks so good. Very nice submission, job well done!

If you find the time to play our game too, I would appreciate it!

Didn't expect to see a horror game here! Was pleasantly surprised, and it did spook me a few times  ^^. The ending cutscene was really beautiful aswell - awesome job!

Developer

Thanks for completing the game!) It's nice that you've reached the end. I was a bit unsure how doable it is.

Submitted(+1)

Yep, I felt the exact same about our game. Really wanted people to get to the end to see that cutscene, but also knew that some might give up due to the challenge. But then, if you make the game too easy, people will get bored of it. It's a hard balance to strike haha

The game delivers the feeling of horror really well, but visually it’s unfortunately not very easy on the eyes. Aside from that, the theme has been used nicely!

Developer

Thanks for review!) Yes, the visual part, especially the shader is the part we need to upgrade. Nice to hear that game gives horror experience, that was a challenge for us)

So, the dithering shader kinda hurts to look at (I think because the pattern is entirely random and locked to screen space), but the game was still super fun. I loooove the poem, great job!

Developer

Thanks for feedback!) Good point about shader: it would be nice to upgrade it. Glad you liked the poem!)

Gives me indie horror vibes in the best way possible. Love the game, would definitely play if a fully polished demo were to be released ;)

Impressive to see a first person game! I liked how frequently the monster would crouch down to smell the flowers, that was cute.

Developer

Thanks for comment!) Yeah, probably the monster likes flowers).

Ok, I heard the steps and I was jumpscared by the creature, didn't expect something to show up out of nowhere. Great game! I wasn't able to finish it, but it feels like a classic horror experience.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!) During development it was a bit unsure if we would reach the necessary horror effect, so nice to hear that the game scares).

Okay, I literally jumped out of my seat the first time the monster appeared out of nowhere and started chasing me, I wasn’t ready for a jump scare 😂

But eventually I befriended him, he’s just a little grumpy lonely dude 😄

The only things I couldn’t figure out were how to reach the orbs on the wall and the tower, and what the flowers are for.

By the way, this is the first 3D game I’ve played in the jam, and it’s really nice! The shaders look great too.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!) And befriending monster :3

The poem at the beginning is a nice touch, and the game looks visually interesting with the shader, but it's unfortunately a bit frustrating to navigate through a maze where it's very difficult to see where you are going while something chases you.

Developer

Thanks for feedback!) Yeah, that's true, in the maze sometimes it's hard to see where is the dead-end or the turn, good point.
