very juicy... every shot, impact, and movement felt satisfying. game is pretty straightforward, some upgrades or powerups would have been nice to see just to have some variations in gameplay.

Pretty Visual with a solid gameplay! The feedback and every aspect of the game is work of art! Love the loops and feedback make me sit for few minutes to survive! Love this, play our game too if you dont mind!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Changing the colours to show the light is a great idea, I love this type of creative approach to the rules and the restrictions!

Developer

Thanks, glad you liked it!

Addictive! It's tough to try to keep all the light plants alive while keeping myself alive. My only "critiques" are that I found the map a bit hard to use at first: It's a bit hard to tell what levels the lights are at/when I should go refill (I could just keep wrapping around the map, it's not that large). Also, I'm pretty sure the different enemies give different petal amounts, right? Maybe a bit of visual distinction would help make that more obvious, though that's pretty non-essential. Great stuff!

Developer

Thanks! I fully agree with both of your points, I was hoping the map would be understandable after a bit of use but it would've been better to explain how it worked to the player. Same with the petal amounts, but I hope you enjoyed it nonetheless!

This was a blast to play. Very easy to pick up and play with great feel and feedback. The way you did the two color was a smart fun twist. The art is terrific, the sfx catchy. Great hook that I will want to play again! ONly issue I had was the camera could use a little more deadzone probably. It would feel off especially in browser but still a really good game.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I can see what you mean with the camera, I'll be sure to keep that in mind

This is a really fun and cute game! The feedback from hitting enemies with petals feels great. The boar enemies feel a little extra tanky which makes it pretty easy to get overwhelmed by them. The art and music are really lovely and the challenge of keeping all four light plants alive felt great. Really liked this one!!

Also just made it on to the leaderboard woohoo!

Developer

Thanks, glad you liked it!

The game is really fun and addictive!

Took me many tries but I'm finally on the leaderboard!!!

Movement felt a bit slow or maybe the petals are gone too fast, but felt a lot of frustration due to unable pick them up in time. Then the boar is really too strong, they took like 5 or 6 hits to kill.

Overall pretty fun game and I love how you represent brightness with only 1 color.

Developer

Nice, thanks for playing and congrats on the score! I agree the petals do disappear pretty quickly, they could probably last another second or two. The boars are tanky, but they do drop a higher-value petal when killed. I think that should've been communicated a bit better

A beautiful theme brought to life with amazing artwork  the game feels truly polished. It seems to have reached almost its full potential, with nothing really missing. Congratulations!

Developer

Thank you very much, hope you had fun!

How did people get 1000+????

Very fun game, very polished, simple idea but well executed. The music is good, the animations are awesome, and it controls great. I didn’t think we could change the palette mid-game tho, nonetheless, extremely good job!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing! One of the rule clarifications was that you only had to have 2 colours on the screen at a time, so we tried to use that in an interesting way ^^. I told one of my friends that I didn't think it was possible to last over 10 minutes, so of course they had to prove me wrong by surviving for 18mins and getting over a thousand points lmao

Submitted(+1)

Yeah! I realized that was actually allowed after playing that game that switches colors every frame, giving the illusion of color x.x

Your use was very creative!

Such a perfect game! Loved the art and the music, and honestly this has been the most fun game I’ve played so far. I ended up just protecting a single plant instead of trying to keep them all alive, and that worked out way better.
It's very polished, congrats to the team!

Developer

Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it!

I was alive for four minutes and twelve seconds. The game is fun and easy to understand. I don't know if the stage is large or if I missed something to the right, as I always stayed to the left of the tree of light. Congratulations on your work!

Banger, This was super fun to play, though admittedly i found that there isn't much of a point to keep all the light flowers alive? Like only camping around one and running around trying to make sure i keep all the enemies in check was enough to survive 4 minutes. It also took me a bit to realise that there are other light flowers in general haha. But the first run is supposed to be "realising how to play" anyways. Overall really good game, and cute sprites to boot!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Balancing the light system to incentivise the player keeping all the light plants alive was slightly tricky, and I tried to make it so that if only one plant was alive it would drain very quickly. Sounds like keeping one alive might still be easier than running around, but glad you had a good time!

Such a cute game! Very enjoyable to play and also a lovely style!!

Great game! One of my favorites for sure now after playing! Love the simple concept and its executed so well and so nicely polished!

Developer

Thank you very much, glad you liked it!

Had a lot of fun, plus I love the concept and art! Had a high score of 4min, which is a pretty good length I think, though I do wish the light flowers were a tad close together, it's a lot of running around hahah

Developer(+1)

That's great to hear, thank you! 4 minutes is good, things definitely start getting hectic after the initial few mins. With the map size, I was hoping the player would be in a mad dash trying to keep everything lit, but it is a lot of ground to cover yeah

Submitted(+1)

Wow you nailed a dynamic art style!

Aside from the visuals it was also a blast to play. Very good worm

Developer

Thank you, glad you had fun!

great work. I loved the art and the music. it was a bit difficult the find all the light plants…

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks! Yeah the plants are a bit spread out, though the map in the bottom-right of the screen tries to help with locating where they are. Should it have been more clear that particular tiles on the map represented the light-plants?

Lots of fun! Characters are super cute, and the gameplay loop is simple and addictive! With a bit of progression, I could see the full game being a pretty solid paid experience! One of my favorites in the whole jam, great work!

Developer

Thank you so much, glad you liked it!

This was really fun to play! The art style is super cute and the concept is great.

I got a high score of 06:24, not sure if that’s good or way too low šŸ˜…
Now I’m curious, what’s the devs’ own high score?

Developer(+1)

Thank you! That's quite a good time, I made the gameplay systems and got around 6~ mins as a high score haha!

Submitted(+1)

Great game!) I like how it's polished in small parts also: menu parallax, the gifs on a page. The character gives Pikmin vibes) (Got the score 95)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!
