I was not expecting a voice, especially that voice for the how to play. Anyway, I enjoyed it at the start when things were starting but soon it just became a waiting game, I wish there was a little more to do. But still, great first game (way better than my first game). Keep it up, polish, learn, fail, improve. Great job!

This was fun!  I think the core thing that was satisfying was thinking about how the whole population was leveling up, like when I had all the upgrades my oldest critter had a max age of 60 but I knew somewhere in that mass of critters one would emerge with a max age of 100!  I would have liked more to do/more gameplay but it's a jam game so I get it.  Congrats on your first entry!

Nicely done for your fist jam entry! I like the basic idea. I would have loved some more mutations (stuff like walking speed, colour of the sprite etc.) to make each critter feel more unique. Still, it was fun to root for my little guys to grow strong and old.

Good Job!

This is your first game? Wow!! Yeah, I think it could be balanced a bit better (maybe even a limit on how many critters you can spawn in) but it's such an interesting concept. The voice on the How To section was funny, too.

Hey! Cool submission! The balance could use some work, but it's super fun to get some upgrades and see your critter population go boom! Congrats!

Love this as a first game!

Intersting game, I miss more sound effects but good job :)

Developer(+1)

Yeah, sorry, I knew that with so many instances the sound would get messy immediately, and I'm a newbie, so I left it as is and just made one for upgrades and for victory screen. :D Thank you for playing and commenting! Means a world to me! :D

This is an interesting idea, but maybe it needs to be balanced a bit more.
I just spawned as many critters as possible in the beginning and then I could just wait and upgrade with no issues.
Also, the music stopped playing? Maybe it isn't set to loop?

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the comment! Yeah, because I was trying to come up with some new idea for the game and not copy anything, I made something weird. :D I was afraid to make this game too hard, because I heard you have to watch out for that. And I probably overdid it. :D

I fixed the music thing during development, but when I exported it, it broke again, I don't know why.

I really loved playing this game. Very interesting concept for an idler.

But I am not sure if I can actually lose this game, also upgrades can be done only once, I think for gameplay be more extensive, several upgrades of the same quality could be done

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for a kind comment!
You could lose probably if you were VERY lazy with buying the upgrades, but I heard that you have to make the game much easier than you think to match the skill of a new player. I probably overdid it tho. :D
