I really like the idea behind the game, and I think it's executed very well. I think the artstyle and music definitely compliments the simple and easy to understand gameplay. I can definitely see this being more fleshed out! In my opinion, I think there should have been a little more tension to get these unicorns patched up very quickly. The saw's kinda weird to use. One huge issue I found is that for me, the "end shift" doesn't work :/ I know this sounds very nit-picky, but it could also use more sound effects. You did really good job with this game, and I can definitely see this become something way bigger. Big ol' thumbs up for me!
Thanks for the kind words and detailed feedback, much appreciated!! I agree about the lack of tension, there's no real reason to keep playing after you patch up 2 or 3 unicorns, maybe some kind of currency system with a goal of X dollars or a medal system based on time taken with achievements would have accomplished this. The saw needed more work for sure, another lesson to get the mechanics down before polishing...I day I'll learn. Totally agree on the lack of sounds too, the tools should all have a unique one at the very least, I just kinda threw in the background song and said screw it in regards to the rest of the sfx lol. Thanks again!!
This was really good. I almost feel like with some work this could be a really cute mobile for kids. My daughter would probably play this alot. Great job!
I think you're the third person to suggest making it a kid's mobile game lol, I think that's a great idea but have less than zero desire to try making a mobile game. Thank you for playing and the comment!!
This was a ton of fun! It reminded me of playing Operation as a kid! Nice job!
Thank you so much! that was the vibe I was going for so glad it connected a bit with u
The game has good mechanics. Nice work.
Thanks for playing!!
This definitely has a feel of being something that would be popular as a mobile game with touch controls. The art is great and the gameplay is fairly simplistic making this a game very accessible to kids. Nice work on the game!
Thank you for playing :) I agree that it would better as a kids mobile game, but I have no desire to develop one lol.
I don't blame ya there! lmao
Awesome job! I loved the little frog giving a quick interactive tutorial at the beginning. I was excited when I realized it really was going to be like the physical game Operation with tweezers, and all the extra mechanics you added like the x-ray, sawing around the area, and patching it up with bandages. I especially liked the results summary at the end. The music choices were great and I loved the art. Really fun entry! I could see this being expanded with different plushes and maybe even a check-up after the surgery where they react. Super cute!
I just read the other comments and noticed a comment about the saw. I happen to have an accessibility feature turned on on my computer that makes my cursor super big, so I didn't notice any issues with the saw, it was nice and big for me and easy to cut around the edges - just a note to consider... maybe if I didn't have that accessibiity feature turned on it would have been more challengeing for me. I can also see this being a hit mobile game too.
Wow this comment is awesome, thank you so much for the feedback!! Really nice to hear you enjoyed your playthrough. The post-operation check up thing is a great idea, would add some much needed personality to the stuffies. Interesting to hear about the cursor size, thanks for sharing that. Seems like I should just make the cursor sprite bigger in my game and problem solved lol. Thank you again for playing and leaving such a kind thoughtful message!
I loved the art for this game well done
Thank you!!
A little bit hard to use "saw" but the game is very polised. Great idea and perfect fit for the theme. I think a little bit easier controls and easier gameplay and it can be hit mobile game for a kids wanna be doctors.
Thank you for the kind words and valuable feedback. I agree with you on the lack of ease with the controls, especially with the saw tool. It's pretty unintuitive and it would have been beneficial to spend more time polishing the game mechanics before the visuals. Thanks again for playing!
