Congrats on making your first game! Daje tutta as we say here in Italy
Thank you.
Easy win after learning from trial and error not to touch anything.
The still blocks seem off-theme, but the fish are very cute. I wish we had the Judge’s rating category to use for liking something not exactly a fit in the other four voting categories, because the game is cute overall.
What I’d have liked to happen: for the music to play and for the reward to show the treasure box reaching a submersible, deck, or something surprising like a spaceship.
Thank you.
Good game, though I found it a bit unforgiving, and I did not fully understand how the fishes reacted to my inputs (as said in description), so had a feeling that the game was based on pure luck (sometimes, the fish would do anything to stay under the magnet). I did not understand how this is related to the theme, but maybe I missed someting ?
Thanks.
For a first game, this is seriously impressive congratulations! The fishing mechanic is simple but really satisfying, and it instantly reminded me of classics like the relaxing moments of fishing in Stardew Valley. There’s something timeless about casting, catching, and wanting to see what comes next.
It also brought back memories of a flash fishing game I used to play in university, where each round took you deeper and deeper into the ocean (tiny fishing if u want to search). Your game gave me that same sense of curiosity and progression, which is a huge achievement for a jam entry especially being your very first project. The art and presentation are charming, and with just a little polish (like adjusting fish speed or expanding the depth mechanic), it could easily grow into something much bigger.
I honestly think you’ve nailed it on your first try, and I’d love to see where you take it if you continue developing. Since your idea resonates so much with what I enjoy, maybe you’d also like to check out my own submitted game we approached things differently, but I think you’d find the spirit familiar.
Thank you. I will have to check out your submission too.
oh thanks!!!
Cool game! Someone else mentioned this, but I immediately thought of the Club Penguin fishing game, which I played a LOT during my childhood. I really enjoyed this game. I've heard this is your first game too! Very well done! Well done dude, be proud :)
Thanks. Yes, this is my first game. Oh, I'll have to google it to see what the Club Penguin fishing game is like.
Nice game! On web version I was able to make it working going full screen (even if there is a small glitch with the fish position). Good job!
Thanks
Congratulations on making your first game!
Thank you.
Reminded me of the club penguin fishing game :v
Have you tested it with a higher move speed? Maybe it can enhance the game feel!! All in al, great job!
I have, and it moved too fast. I am thinking, it might be the scene movement that's too slow. Thanks for the feedback.
Cross the frog game good for first game. It's not working on web btw but no problem. Good Job!
Thank you.
Pretty okay game, I just didn't find it that fun to play and didn't see anything unique. The magnet's movement felt sluggish in a bad way, and I found myself constantly surprised by when the fish would turn around, so it felt a lot like luck.
The fullscreen problem can be solved by checking the "fullscreen button" checkbox under Frame Options in your game's editing page.
Oh. I'll have to check on those. Thanks for letting me know.
Cool game a bit repetitive and unforgiving. Also I think I didn't "catch" ;D how you wanted to approach the theme in this game. :P
But congrats on completing your game jam
Thanks
i think you need to put a fullscreen button or resize the viewport on EDIT GAME
yeah definitely I got the same problem I just solved by zooming in the webpage
I could not really play the game. IDK what it is, the viewport is too small and cuts off the game. I didn't see a fullscreen option either.
I have the same problem. The game looks like it would be fun though nice job
thank, i'll be working on a update to fix some of the problems.
I just solved by zooming in the webpage, if you still want to play it.
