Left Behind was kind of the inspiration for the game; thinking of rogue where the goal is to get through the dungeon and back up again, you kinda start at the end point, its now your job to try and escape.

Jam
it was a really cool jam! I've always wondered if you could even make a first person low rez game so this was kind of like the driving factor behind that. Having lots of themes with them all being optional is really good too imo, because a lot of jams i just see and the theme is either so overdone or so uninspiring that i just dont bother.

Well done, you made slimes terrifying. Very creepy game although the low resolution can be disorientating at times (mostly in corners). I also didn't figure out how the progression worked (chests give you swords, which you already have and I found a weird thing in the wall but idk what it was supposed to be, it also looks like the altar in the spawn room does something but idk if it actually does) .

I was skeptical of the style from the screenshots/gif. But on actually playing it it has a really good creepy vibe and the style ends up just fitting perfectly. I was a fan of the movement, but at times some things felt a little distant like furniture, the columns, etc because of the grid. Only confusing thing was maybe the combat, there's no indication on your health etc, so making flight or fight decisions is not really clear? But yeah, really cool game!

Graphics were amazing. I am really blown away by the semi-dithered lighting. However on my system (running chrome on macos) the mouse cursor wouldn't lock, making me unable to turn.

Yeah you have to press Tab to lock it. I thought this was a problem initially too.

Ah I see. Perhaps locking the cursor manually on the click event would be better for next time :)

Interesting concept! Def took awhile to figure out to get out of the room (red-ish door). It played okay on the web version. I saw this green box thing turned around then died from something haha. Based on the screenshots it looks like there is a lot more to it!I hope you had fun with this one!

The graphics are pretty cool and the atmosphere is eerie and very well made <3 The movement is a little bit disorienting tho, and I didn't quite grasp the gameplay tbh. I was able to kill a feel slime cubes but some red thing killed me hahaha! Not really my favorite genre of game, but solid entry nonetheless!

You nailed the creepiness factor! Don’t understand how not to get hit by the enemies though…
