The art is nice, also the movement of the astronaut and the planting mechanic (maybe making it more hard would be cool tho), cool game and boss fight!

this feels very incomplete, definitely looks cool. would be great to see what a full version of this would look like. but at the moment there is not much to review: no sounds, no game juice, no clear indicator besides texts on what you as the player should be doing.

I dont know if my bullets are doing anything to the boss. Also the flower charge is not obvious to me. Given with more polish. I think this can be a really fun game.

Eh. I don’t know. I really like the idea, but a few things really detract from the experience. Firstly, the font is nigh-unreadable, which makes the tutorial a pain. Secondly, the lack of audiovisual feedback means that I didn’t even know whether I was doing anything to the boss. Thirdly, the boss’s attacks are way too punishing for the small arena; I found myself dying by its attacks clipping my hitbox with little to no telegraphing. There’s a lot of room for improvement in this game — which is a good thing for future versions and future jams.

With more time, I think it could have been really good. The idea is there, but a lot of things are missing, like some feedback for the boss’s damage (maybe a blink), the difficulty starting easy and getting harder over time, some power-ups

Even with all those things missing, it’s still enjoyable, I had fun 🤍

Cool start! wish you would've had a bit more time to work on this. Nice art btw.

A good attempt at a boss rush kind of game. The art is by far the best part, although the boss could have a bit more interesting of a design. The gameplay is fine, it suffers a bit due to some repetitive boss patterns. As others have mentioned, audio and visual reactions from the boss would greatly help assure the player they are actually damaging the boss. Finally, there are a fair amount of bugs to fix: boss's heart attack prints to the console (which the player is shown), the performance worsens over time (probably due to bullets not being destroyed and somehow I was able to fall through the floor (probably from a stutter). Also you said looming instead of blooming in the tutorial.

The game's got some sweet graphics and animation, but honestly, I couldn't hear any sound, and there was no real feedback to make me feel the impact of my bullets or abilities. Sound effects are super important for games to really amp up the impact of player interaction. Keep at it, and you'll have a really solid game!

I believe that this difficulty wasn't intended for the game. But the gameplay was pretty enjoyable.

Cool game! It's pretty hard, but I liked it :)

I'm not sure if the game is working - no sound, boss doesn't look like it's getting damaged

Hi, the game does work. I just didn't have time to add any sound feedback. I got really busy at the end. The boss has a great amount of health, that makes it difficult to kill.

Nice. Does the boss die? Also, make sure to use offscreen component with destroy option for all bullets:

offscreen({ destroy: true }),

It will destroy them offscreen so objects don't pile up and tax performance gradually.

A bullet hell platformer, not bad :) Glad to see I’m not the only one who went for bullet hell. Pretty hard tho. Would love to see how this turns out with some more work!

Really cool setup here. Wasn't able to get past the first boss, but the concept is starting strong. Great work!
