HAHA it's awesome when the whole screen is alive, blooming flowers
the core gameplay seems like something with a lot of potential!
i could see some cool ways you might expand off of it.
the game was actually very neat, i enjoyed my time playing it
AND
i love the art and the goofy flower and the music made me feel like I'M ON A MISSION (awesome)
Thanks so much for the feedback!!
Fun game, but could use a bit more fleshing out. Like Macrow said — looks visually pleasing, looks polished, just needs a bit more work. Good job, keep at it!
Thank you!
as far as simple games goes, this takes the cake for being the simplest game in the jam while still looking visually pleasing and polished. if I had to give any critique it would be to not make the inside of leaves and flowers transparent since it tends to look weird once it overlaps with another plant.
Thanks for the feedback!!
Nice arcade clicker game that can destroy my wrist. I like the font and music you picked here. But the screen is too crowded and the flower outlines start to stack on top of each other. I suspect you use some transparency in your flower sprite, causing those issue. Try to color the inside of the flower then the player can tell each flower clearly.
Thanks! Yeah I think I will update it so you can see the individual flowers better
A nice cute arcade style game. I really enjoyed the concept of the weeds healing you more the more you let them grow but I think they needed a point they grew too much, maybe they explode into spores damaging the flower, so that you can't just leave them to fully grow. The music was great and the art was nice but would benefit from some more animation.
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah during testing I kept ending up with it being way too hard, like each bloom did damage to the main flower and it died super fast, in the end I think I made it too easy! I will definitely try to figure out the balance with future updates
cute simple game ^^
maybe you can add sfx like snipping and rustling
and add snipping visual effects.
and then make the animation to sync with the background music that way the player can feel like jamming together with the flowers while playing the game XD
Thank you for the feedback! These are great points I will keep that in mind for future updates!
Fun idea and really nice artwork! I'd be curious to see how it'd be play differently if your flower spawns had logic to minimize overlapping when spawning in _or_ by only allowing the player to trim a single plant at a time (I was able to do some serious trimming across my garden when the plants overlapped) to increase the challenge/sense of urgency here. Thanks for making and sharing your game!
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I agree, I did try to find a way to avoid them overlapping but as it was my first time using KAPLAY I didn't figure it out in time, so just worked with it how it was. Definitely something I will look into for future improvements :)
The music made it feel like there was more action and made me want to click faster!
Nice idea. I like the art and music a lot - it was very satisfying to watch the flower come back to health. The gameplay itself was too much clicking for me. Some feedback on trimming would be welcome too.
Good work all in all!
Thanks for the feedback!
Catchy toon, nice art, easy to learn the ropes and no bugs (that I encountered). Game was really simple, point there and click, repeat, I did that until it said 100 most of the time, but it never ended that I could tell? Either way, good job.
Yeah, it is possible to get game over if you let the flower die but that's the only end condition - during testing I had trouble where I kept making it too harsh, so it may have turned out a bit easy in the end! Definitely feel I could add something more to it in the future. Thank you for the feedback!
Very nice little clicker game. If you look into the "incremental" game genre, I think you'll find some real inspiration to bloom this game into something really addicting and special. Cheers!
Thank you! I was actually thinking towards the end of the jam that it would've worked really well as an incremental! I've never made one before so I may try and implement that in the future :)
Your song is an absolute banger. I will be humming that one for a while. If I could get the mp3 id love to add it to my playlist.
It's called Funny Bit by David Renda! Unfortunately didn't make it myself, but you can download it from the link here/in the description on the game page. I've used music from this studio for a few games, I think they're great
Cute artstyle!!!
Thank you!
Art and music absolutely slap. Cute game!!
Thank you!
Cute art! Game is pretty cozy
Thanks!

Hello, I didn't understand how to play, atmospheric and beautiful graphics
Solid simple gameplay loop: click to stay in bloom. Good job! If you've got time, you may want to check that anti-aliasing is turned off on your sprites.
Thank you for the heads up! I saw some anti-aliasing on the font when I checked it on my laptop (retina display) so I've added a shader that should hopefully solve the problem :)
Really simple game, It's getting a bit difficult to see the bloom with all the sprites overlapping each others and would look better with some outlines. I like how the flower have different expressions.
Thank you for the feedback!
