The main thing that stood out to me was the artwork. It's so unique, seeing a crayon-esque art style. It made me feel like I was a kid again, and it just made me happy to look at. It adds so much charm to all of the environments. Looking through the Collabs button from the menu, I see different artwork for cards, and they're all charming in their own sense. Great work in the art department!

In terms of gameplay, the visual novel type story was nice. But the battle parts was tough to get through. The bouncing takes so long to finish. Having indicators on where I was going to launch it would help, but the egg never slowed down, so I was waiting a few minutes each level hoping for a good bounce. Actually, it seems like the egg speeds up if it doesn't hit anything? So it can't ever stop.  If there was a button to manually stop the egg from bouncing, that would be nice.

I restarted the game once and was able to add some cards at the beginning, and having the damage plus card made a world of a difference since then it only required 1 hit instead of 3.

This is a nice, cute, and short game! I played through with 3 increase speed (?) cards and it seemed to go well. I feel like some music or sounds would have paired well with the lighthearted story and stylized art.

Two non-game content related notes-- The game page is so wide that the right side is cut off for me and the game sits awkwardly on my screen when not fullscreened. I almost didn't see the fullscreen icon because a bit of the bottom was cut off for me too. I assume the sizing issue might be related to me using a laptop? I would also like to see the credits placed more accessibly, whether that's a button on the main menu, in the game page description, and/or adding their itch.io accounts as game contributors. To only have the credits play at the end with no other way to see who was involved feels like a bit of a shame, but this is purely a personal preference thing.

I love the textured, child's drawing book art direction and the meticulousness to continue that vibe into the UI and font choice. I like that you played around with different shapes and designs for the pinball-like stages too. The game shows a colored square (black or magenta) in the middle of the screen when "continue" or "normal/timed" buttons show up and I'm not sure if that's some image that isn't loading in properly or what.

The gameplay is simple and leaves open the potential to build on its complexity with different card effects and more time to develop. I would have loved for more player control in the gameplay as I just launch Eggie once per level and wait for them to hit the enemies (sometimes taking a while to do so). This could be in the form of pinball flippers to control or the ability to relaunch Eggie after it slows to a stop, for example.

That was an interesting game! Love the art bgs and the simple to understand game mechanic. Love the association of the map shape and the name of the store, especially the fish, and the obstacles in the map. Soo thoughtful. Game runs well on horizontal mode in mobile.

But when selecting cards received after Gamba, I was confused on what certain boosts are? It might be nice to include a legend on the symbols beyond the green cross for health and sword for attack. For example, there's a red spinny top and timer on fire?

+1 to a little more information about how to play. I like the crayon art a lot!

Thank you so much! Our artist is SUPER happy someone pointed out they enjoyed the art style! We just released a patch that fixes a lot of broken things in the game, as well as updated the game page's description to hopefully be a bit clearer on how to progress.

I'll hold off on rating for now, I didn't quite know what to do. I tried different combinations of red/green buttons but it led to the eggs being bounced around. It didn't seem like I could do anything that I was aware of. Is there information on how to play?

Thank you so much! The red/green buttons are dialogue choices that (If I've coded it properly) do something regarding the legacies button in the library after finishing a full story run! We've just released a patch that fixes several bugs, and the description on the game page should hopefully clarify what the player can do. - AveryLostTraveller
