Honestly, I didn't take those very seriously.

I appreciate optional constraints, and the two week time frame is ideal. Had a great time!

Human music, I like it. I thought I had to sell margaritas as well but once I understood I was just the busboy I picked it up quite quickly. The paths to the stations always open up even when crowded and the direction of the dancers make it easy to preempt their movement which was useful.

I enjoyed the gameplay and played quite a few runs. I had initially thought the right number was a life counter if one of the two stations were left unattended but it seemed like it was a timer, but then I played a few more runs and each run fluctuated between over 2 min to over 4 mins. I also managed to get a higher score unattending certain stations compared to doing a perfect run.

Im wondering what the right counter indicates and what makes the timer extend.

hey thanks for playing! I really appreciate the feedback. I'm especially glad you noticed that the dancers always try to give you a clean path even when it's packed, it took a lot of tinkering to get that part right and I'm happy with how it turned out.

also, couldn't agree more with the timer/end of level confusion. the timer on the right shows you how many spots are left on the dance floor, and the level ends when the dance floor is full. every margarita served attracts one more dancer and more dancers increases the rate that dirty dishes show up. but I was struggling with finding a good way to "end" the level, and wanted to at least show the player something, so there's the timer.

and like you pointed out, playing worse means less margaritas are served, which makes the level go longer. but that lets you score more points, so, I sorta missed the mark there! maybe if the dirty dishes didn't spawn when the bar isnt stocked it would help...

anyways, thanks again for playing!

This is lovely and yes, floor is on fire! I had fun playing it, you did a good job!

Im unable to play using the web player, it seems to be zoomed in to 32x32.

Developer

oh that's unfortunate, must be a pixel device ratio problem. I'll see what I can do, thanks for trying!

this should be fixed, let me know! thanks again for checking it out

Yep this is fixed! Overall I liked the game! The music is simple but effective, and I felt like you did a good job conveying information through the graphics. I got to something like 21 drinks and the dance floor was on fire. Nice work!

Lovely graphics, but you’re using scaled-up sprites in a framebuffer much larger than 64x64.

Developer

sure am, thanks for playing!

thanks again for the feedback. i took what you said and added downsampling to make it 64x64 proper! way better, feel free to check it out. and i really appreciate you giving it a try

Hey hey now you’re talking! It looks great with the new downsampling.
