I had a blast playing this game, really excellent work. The concept was fun, easy to understand, and challenging. I actually really liked the option of "insta-killing" with the red gem once the damage built up, or continuing to see how far I could level up the attacks. I'm really impressed with the polish and balance of the gameplay. Great job!

Really neat game! I love the core concept behind the gameplay - really creative take on an RPG! One quality of life feature I'd recommend adding is that when the player's attack damage becomes greater than the remaining health the enemy has, the fireball could move substantially faster so that the player doesn't have to wait around for too long.

Great work!

Thanks for checking it out!
We added a feature about an hour before submission to solve that issue but its not super intuitive. You may have noticed that when the damage becomes lethal, a red crystal with an X on it will spawn - if you hit that into the vortex it will speed up the attack!
I might be releasing a post-jam update, if i do i'll make that gem look less 'negative' :)

Veryc ool idea. I liked the game play. Took me 11min43s to complete the run. Great job!

Fun concept! I enjoyed the 2048 style of play!

Cool concept!  It's interesting how much more fun the gameplay is when framed as "this is the damage your fireball will do" vs just a score number ticking up.  Also the polish to have a cute overworld was quite cool.  I dd find it a bit clunky to play, I think my laptop beeped angrily at me when I had 2 arrow keys and space pressed so I was limited to only moving cardinal directions.  Maybe an option for mouse, like a pull back and release to fling, would be a nice addition!

I agree with @tomathor, I tought the red x crystal was a bad thing, in the complex it's a good game! I always love the 2048 mechs in games

2048 with physics is an interesting approach, the crystals in the way giving me longer term progression in a single match was interesting, I think more mechanis like that would be cool.
The red X crystal read more like a bad thing than a speedup to me.

Such a cool idea, love your game!

This was a fun and clever take on the theme.  I liked how combining crystals resulted in a higher number than pushing them in alone.  The controls were a little difficult on keyboard, though I can see how it would be easier with a controller like you recommended.

This was really fun, even though controls were hard on the keyboard. I wish I could merge numbers higher than 30 though because the balls just stopped dropping

This is such a unique and cool idea. Had a ton of fun playing it. Got 12:29.873 finish.
