I struggled with the controls, I’m afraid! I somehow managed to put a turret on top of a wall (not sure if that’s allowed) but after that I couldn’t add any more walls or turrets. I agree with the other comments though - the dissolve effect was cool, and being able to change the maze is a nice feature.

The maze idea of changing the enemy path by adding or breaking blocks is a cool concept. The interface and controls were a bit confuse and could have better instructions.

Developer

Thanks for playing - yeah was very limited on time this jam, and prevented me from adding better instructions and cleaning up some bugs

Unique vibes as always from an Anonymyst submission! A functional tower defense this time taking out evil rabbits. Appreciated the "last chance" screen, which was initially helpful in keeping the game going while trying to figure things out.

The build menu could use some UX improvements. I particularly wasn't sure what each option did, but figured it out eventually, though think I broke the game by placing a turret in the closing gap of a wall, which prevented the "Start Wave" button from working (and then wasn't able to get rid of the turret; pressing the red x and clicking on it triggers the gold particles flying instead of deleting it). Otherwise was finding myself constructing a maze using the walls, and wondered how far I could take it, haha.

Noticed you had limited time in the jam, so that's understandable. Amazing to output anything when racing against the clock!

Thanks for playing, yes time really prevented me from fixing some of those bugs (it should do both delete the tower and give you back the coins...)

This was my first time trying to use "Window" objects in Godot, not very pleased with the interface as the mouse focusing is problematic as is the mouse/touch passthrough - will probably just make my own class from scratch next time

I couldn't quite figure this one out, I'm afraid. I had issues where I inexplicably couldn't place walls or turrets, and sometimes the "start round" button wouldn't do anything, leaving me softlocked. The dissolving effect on the bunnies was neat, though!

Developer

Yeah, wanted to include better feedback (thought I had programmed in making the towers/walls red when you didn't have the necessary funds - but something did not work and ran out of time. I also wanted to include a "Path Blocked" message if you tried to start the wave (also it could have been right after placing a block I rerun the path creation script which takes a little bit of time.

Thanks for playing

i enjoyed playing this. the maze idea is clever. i think its true for most jam games but some better communication would have been nice as i did get confused about why i couldnt start the next wave.

Developer

Thanks for playing, and yes I meant to have message saying: Path blocked and greying out the start wave button (time...)

So cute ! Very nice concept and art work. Good job :)

Developer

Thanks for playing glad you enjoyed it - should have given credit for the artwork... all from itch assets and Kenny for tower

Oh no! Not the killer bunnies! I liked the idea of being able to build walls to make the critters choose a different path. Good work!

Nice work, especially for how little time you had! I appreciate having different difficulty options to choose from. I'd recommend showing how much each item costs in the build menu, as it isn't immediately clear what the terrain and tanks each cost.

Good job!

Developer

Thanks for playing and the kind words, the difficulty actually doesn't do anything... was going to change the enemies health and change the fast action sequence.

I was intending show the cost (I thought I included a color change when your didn't have enough money but that did not seem to work). I also wanted to explain when the path was blocked - right now you just cannot start the wave, but should have a message pop up.
