Describe your game
In Seal Splash you play as a seal, catching fish, dodging rocks, and jumping over fishing nets to reach a high score. The mechanics were inspired by the fishing minigame in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy - we just transformed it into an old-school arcade-type experience. The original Game Boy consoles were used as reference for the retro audio-visual style, resulting in pixel art graphics limited to 4 colours, as well as the classic 8-bit (sounding) sounds.

I liked the GameBoy aesthetics :)

Timing the jump over the net felt hard for me for some reason, always too early ^^"

Developer

I'm glad you liked the aesthetics. :)

The jump definitely seems to be too difficult at the start, taking a few attempts to get the timing right. As the game speeds up, the seal gets faster, and the jump becomes longer and easier too. In hindsight, the jump should have scaled better with the difficulty level.

Thanks for the feedback!
