Died quite abruptly in the third stage after a couple of minutes of easily dodging stuff and statically holding down the left-click click to keep my shooting on permanent. Game was functional—just needs more to do and an overarching reason to survive the stages. The music was very nice, and I liked the art of the HUD. It feels like Galactic Pest Control is a solid start to something bigger!

Thank you a lot for your warm feedback!

Nice Game. I feel like a tutorial is missing, I only found out about the shield via the settings.

The parallax effect is cool but actually makes the asteroids feel to move erratic. In fact at first i thought they do (being manipulated by gravitational effects or something) but I noticed they don't. But I had to stand still to find out :D

One more thing:  I assumed that the music was 3rd party? If so, you might need to credit the author dependent on licence. If you made the music on your own: Good Job - please reply to me because I want to up your audio rating then!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! Yeah, tutorial was planned, but unfortunately I didn't have enough time to implement it.
That is interesting effect, I actually didn't notice it for some reason, but thank you for pointing it out
Yes, music is 3rd party I mentioned it in credits

Nice job, I played only the first 2 stages but overall is a solid concept!

Nice game! I liked the assets and music a lot. I was pretty bad at aiming though :D The weapon upgrade I found  helped a lot. I think it would have been nice to include a visible countdown for each level, so the player has a feedback on the time remaining?

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing. Yeah, I just didn't have enough time to include everything I wanted, but cooldown timer for super weapon is a good idea

Simple and fun. Was quite difficult to get the hang of.

Game is satisfying, music is nice. I like this entry but I have some feedback:
Constructive Criticism: I only played till level 3. This doesn't feel like a roguelike so setting the player back to the 1st level is tedious/discouraging. Making the level timed also throws speedrun potential out the window. Asteroids being a 1 hit kill is also discouraging.
Constructive Feedback: I would make the leveling based on the amount of asteroids/enemies you destroy, which encourages the player to be aggressive. I'd take off half the player's health on asteroid hit instead of instant death. Also more dense levels at first.

Hope this helps (:

Thank you for your feedback! And I completely agree with everything. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to test gameplay, but I felt that first level is a bit empty and permadeath from asteroids make it too hard for new players to experience the game completely. I will do my best to avoid these problems in the future.
But thank you for playing it!

This was fun but a bit brutal the first couple of times.
I feel that maybe some of the astroids where moving a bit to fast in the first stage.

Sound and music were especially good!

Thank you for your feedback, because I personally though I made first stage too easy
