Game Description
You're a little critter and you're fishing

How does your game tie into the theme?
When I think critters, I think of little anthropomorphic Disney animals who are just living it up in nature.

Simple concept, but I really like it! Adding some SFX to that and some background water would make this really fun.
Congrats on the submission! Looking forward to seeing more things from you :)

Simple, but still had some fun! It's definitely hard being a solo developer so I applaud you. I think someone else already said this in the comments, but even just a few simple sound effects and music can make a game feel more whole. Great job though!

Congratulations on your first game without any tutorial! It's a challenging process to do stuff all on your own, but you pulled through! Hope to see you in future jams!

Developer

Thank you! Hope to see you too, I loved the frog

Simple but fun fishing game I like whatever animal you have that's in the boat

Developer

Thank you! It's an opossum (the o in the beginning is silent). Fun fact: they are the only marsupial native to the US & Canada.

I'm always a sucker for fishing games and enjoyed your work on this one. A little sound design would go a long way and perhaps a different button to reel in the fish. Overall, its great work for a first jam! I hope you keep working in Godot!

Thank you for the kind words, I will keep at it. I think I'm hooked on jamming because I already want to join more lol.

I was thinking of a different button to reel. I wanted to add a way to 'fight' the fish on the line, then make the action button the reel button, but didn't have time to implement it. And also yeah it needs sound (and more art.)

I played a little,

I liked it, once you understand the game it's getting pretty addictive, maybe a few other fishes would have made it better. The score system is also really fun once you figure out that bigger fishes means more points.

Overall, it was fun, need some more art pieces to call it a day but I liked it.

Developer

Thank you for checking it out! I definitely agree with the more fish and more art.
