The idea is pretty neat! I would have liked to know how much water is already on the boat, so how stressed should I currently be, like a UI element that says 75/100 or something. Also I kind of struggled with moving in the narrow spaces on the boat, which was a bit frustrating for me - I think it would have been more fun, if I could move more easily, and the difficulty came from something else, like just managing the patches.
I can imagine this prototype becoming a really cool experience though, with a little more time and polish!
Thank you so much for playing my game! That's excellent feedback. I'll try and add that flooded percentage in my game. I already widened the paths on the boat and fixed the stairs for them to allow you to move smoothly. I plan to release an updated version a bit after the jam is completed.
Nice! I am also still working on improving our game for after the jam, so I know how you feel haha :D
You need to work on how the game feels—I kept getting stuck on walls, and there was no sense of urgency. The progression of adding leaks should be polished, with more points around the ship
Thank you so much for playing my game! I agree, getting stuck on the walls was annoying. Haha. I only had 2.5 days to make it and simply ran out of time. I plan on implementing more mechanics and already fixed the walking path issues for me next release later after the game jam. Thank you again!!
Fun little game! On my first run, I tried playing with one hand and lost ... the red text gave me flashbacks to the original Zelda game over screen (showing my age here 😅). I played again with both hands and won! I do wish there was a more exciting ending, but I totally get that it’s a jam game and you only had a few days. What you pulled off is a great foundation. Well done!
Thank you so much for playing my game and the great feedback! Haha, yeah the ending was pretty basic. I'll try to add something a little better in the version I release after the judging period is over. :D
Nice! I'm looking forward to seeing how you expand it in the released version!
You definitely hit the theme on this! I was able to end up just standing next to the glass windows and fix the holes as soon as they appeared. If you were able to add a mechanic that made you move away from this spot, the excitement factor of the game would have greatly increased. Good start though. Thanks for sharing your game!
Thank you so much for playing my game!! That's excellent feedback. I had plans to add 2 more game mechanics to make you need to walk away from the windows, but ran out of time. I'll tighten up the collision trigger boxes too. I'll be posting the new version after judging is complete.
