a bit tedious, but also smart that you slow down when trying to shoot; this makes it so actually think when to shoot and when to dodge, while also positioning yourself properly instead of just mindlessly shooting hundreds of bullets towards enemies.

game could use some balancing as others have pointed out already but i do like the concept and art!

The idea to spread the nature is a really smart mechanic! I really like how the bullet does both AOE damage and claim the land.

May I know how to destroy enemy tent? Feels like some level they got destroyed themselves while some I waited very long but enemy still keep spawning.

Developer(+1)

The tents get destroyed when you've finished blooming the required percentage of each level. It's mostly a way to keep the player engaged and under threat while doing that. Thanks for playing!

Fun game! I personally found it quite difficult at points so was very glad to have the easy mode as an option.  Even still I wasn't able to make it to the end, but I enjoyed all the time I spent with this game! The bomb ricochet was great fun and there were some really tense moments as the enemies ganged up on me from multiple directions which led to a great feeling when I made it out alive.

love the music woo!!

much appreciated :>

Fun! I like the bombs and their dual function as explosives and ground-covering. This game could use a bit of re-balancing: Maybe tweak the numbers to make the dodge quite as long or the enemies spawn quite as much (that 2nd to last level was pretty brutal). The base is very good though, and was iterated on plenty throughout the many levels! Great stuff.

Nice work! I liked the visuals and gameplay, but I found myself wishing for a bit more player speed and more generosity when it came to iframes during dodges/rolls. The bloomin' grenade mechanics were super fun though! I think I got pretty far, but ultimately my browser tab crashed due to a memory leak (likely due to  https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/107390) and I wasn't able to finish. Thanks for making and sharing your game!

Ahh thanks for letting us know! I was not aware of that issue which is pretty unfortunate. Thanks for playing!

This was fun, although found it really difficult even with the easy mode. There seemed to be a delay when clicking to charge the bomb, so it felt like I couldn't attack fast enough which was a bit frustrating. I think if the bomb charge was a bit more responsive it would feel better. Overall a good game though! And really loved the music :)

CUSTOM GODOT SPLASH SCREEN!!!

Great music, the visuals are great, if not only for the inconsistent pixel size :(

Also technically not 1-bit hehe image.png

But I don’t think that matters much. It plays great, and has a cool gameplay loop. It’s definitely a unique take on the theme, at least based on the other games I’ve played so far. My only real critique is that… I sort of wish I could spam bombs more, but that would probably break some things haha, great job!

You noticed our biggest shame 😔 We forgot to turn off anti aliasing in the final uploaded version and noticed only after the submissions ended (i don't have the eyes to catch that small detail)

As for your critique yeah if we had more time we probably would have spent it fine-tuning variables like that based on feedback. Still thank you so much for playing our game :D

You can think that I only caught that detail because everything else was so good ;)

Uh i mean... *you didn't see anything*🔫

Wow, really creative! Any games that include bullet ricochet mechanics are automatically fun, and this one really takes advantage of that :D. I've never felt more like an eco-terrorist in my life, and I love it. Great game for pulling some badass moves. Amazing work!+

Great game! There’s a nice bit of variety in some of the levels and in how you approach them. A few I only managed to clear by spamming bombs on the ground, and others I had to actually aim and charge. The music was amazing too, it really gave me Castlevania DS vibes.

Bluetiful!

Took me a minute to figure out what "Free the rest" meant but after I got it the objective was clear. I think the enemies spawned too quickly when trying to basically bomberman the area while also avoiding bullets. I found myself cornered very often and the slow when charging an attack didn't help. The enemies would avoid your bombs so unless you charge up your shot, it's hard to hit them. I enjoyed the game in the end though, it was fun, just a little too difficult.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for sharing your feedback! Yeah the "Free the rest" objective text we included because it's kinda funny but in hindsight i can see how it's not the clearest. Thankfully most players managed to connect the dots fairly fast. As for the rest of your concerns I agree we were hoping to have more time by the end to be able to fine tune the variables like slow, and most importantly difficulty (based on feedback) but gamejams wouldn't be gamejams without a time crunch. We'll probably try to assign more time to that part in the future haha

Strong entry! I like the creative interpretation of the topic and the core gameplay: it's top-down shooter which is felt unique. Also i like the color palette - it's bright and original.
