Using actual Doki voice lines was fun. I really like the art and animations. There were a couple voice lines that felt like they might have been too long. Sometimes I would hear Doki and think she was getting hit again, only to realize she was still saying something from her previous voice line. Of course, that's also because I wasn't playing very well, so skill issue on my end. Overall, it was reminiscent of cartoons, which made it pretty cool.

Really cool cover shooter! I wish I had better aim and timing, because focusing on those made me neglect the incoming bullets and kept dying lol.

The visuals are great and gameplay is pretty good, when you have the right gamer skills, I guess. Doki's voicelines added a lot to the game! XD

I wish there were instructions explaining what the flying drones do. I shot a couple and saw them do some sparks but I had no clue if that was good or bad.

I also had no idea how to deal with the machinegun longoon in the back. There was almost no time for me to come out of cover and shoot him down without taking damage.

Finally, I lost a couple of times because I hit some kind of time limit. The game doesn't explain how to avoid that so it was very frustrating feeling like I'm doing fine surviving and suddenly I get a game over.

Overall, good job, team!

A cover based arcade shooter! It was so cool how you implemented it!

Getting into cover took a little bit of time so I had to be tactical about dodging and coming out to shoot. The random drops of AoE damage was a nice way to help clear enemies.

The artwork is so nice! Everything, from the intro cutscene, to all of the enemies and even the vibrant and detailed maps. It was really well done!

I had fun! It's nice trying out different power ups! and the art looks amazing!

Very nice concept an execution. I liked the overall art direction and how it basically felt like you were playing in a painting.

If I had to critique, I would say that overall the gameplay speed felt a little slow. Moving in and out of cover, reloading, and the dragoons popping in and out. In contrast, the rate that the bullets would fly at you seemed very fast, so I was often jiggle peeking in cover.

Really good overall though, I enjoyed playing it!

Wow!! What a fun and well executed game! The art and bgm are great and fit the game well. Really reminded me of playing Time Crisis in the arcade. Amazing job!

Good and simple game. A bit of a skill issue, but it was a bit hard for me at the start lol

Very nice game! I can see allot of potential in this.  I think it would be nice if the ammo count was next to the mouse cursor. Love the amount of art and detail this game has in the background. Love to see more!

Funnily enough, we agreed and originally did that with the cursor! Unfortunately browser mode did not  allow the mouse swap in Godot however. Had to implement an alternative ammo count because of it! But the original mouse ammo tracker still exists on the download/original version. Ty for taking the time to play!

The simplicity of this game and its focus on the humor with the voice lines and dragoon animations are what makes this game so fun to play!

To make the gameplay feel more responsive, I would recommend making the reload and cover animations quicker, but also give them a few anticipation and recovery frames during the transition.  This will help make the game feel snappy without making the animations feel instant.  Also adding some more anticipation to the dragoon's firing would really provide more game feel to the experience.

I hope this helps!  I had a lot of fun with this one :>

Loved how you could be creative with the environment and set up combos!

This game was a lot of fun. I ended up using a strategy where I shot once then shortly hid in cover. I think it made me invincible so it was probably cheesing it lol. The gameplay reminded me a lot of the arcade time trial games like that one old zombie game. The art is amazing as well. I do think there could have been more environmental effects because I found myself shooting directly more than trying to shoot the explosive.

The voice lines were a great addition. Reload felt a bit slow but other than that game felt good overall
