Themes
The Floor is... bouncy! Acts as a fun boundary between sea and sky
Left Behind - for story enhancement, the flying pig in level 2 is left behind by humans. This ignites its desire to search for friendship in the skies, only to find danger. It stays in the sky in hopes that one day it will find its companions, like the flying humans did
It Happens Again - the fast cirrus clouds in level 2 are unrelenting, intentionally. This should prompt you to consider a better path, as these are not meant to be avoided with quick reflexes.

Jam
It was probably the most fun game jam I've taken part in. The restricted resolution comes with challenges (how will I fit everything on the screen!) but if you're not as focused on art it helps simplify that aspect i.e. using pixel art achieves a decent result. . It was easier in this case to keep the scope small, thanks for running the game jam!

I really like the idea and the movement with the mouswheel feels sooo smooth~ But I couldn't find a way to use the camera. By clicking on it nothing happens. Is there any key assigned to it?

Submitted

The inputs are unconventional but once I got used to it it was surprisingly easy to control. I like the sound effect of people talking. Gameplay is cryptic but again, once I figured out what is going on, it was pretty decent.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! Yes I can see that player feedback on objectives is lacking and the association of the camera with the plane is a bit unrelated. Looking back I should have focussed on explaining that and the story associated with it

I like the sounds and sound effects, but I did miss having some music. I was also a bit confused about why the clouds damage the plane, and what the camera is supposed to do.

Developer

I’m totally with you, music is a big part of games for me as well. This time I decided to focus more on gameplay to see how it turned out. I can see how the camera and the plane would be unrelated without explanation, more story here would have helped. Thanks for trying my game!

I didn't seem to be able to continue after the first level unfortunately.

Is there a reason for beach sounds in the background? Came unexpected, with seagulls and all :D

Developer

Ironically my partner said the same thing about the beach sounds haha. Just put them in for ‘bird’ sounds but chose the sound poorly

The game feels good, especially the atmospheric sounds of the environment and events. It took me 5-6 tries to get to the finish line, but it was as if the game never ended. Is this a bug in the first level, or is there only one level?

Developer(+1)

There are 2 levels! But the feedback on what needs to be done to unlock the second level is lacking. You need to take a picture of all the objectives at the bottom of the screen. The book gives you clues on what to look for

I enjoyed the challenge of the game and found myself playing through the first level a couple of times before reaching the end...but I am not sure what I was supposed to do when I reached the finish sign because the game didn't end.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

If you complete the level without obtaining the objectives you don’t unlock the next level. The game doesn’t provide a lot of feedback about going back and finding those to unlock the next level

Thanks for trying my game anyway!
